Action replay...what is it?

Hi all,

I have been playing heartgold for quite some time and have completed all that I can. I simply do not get the opportunity to trade, even on the GTS because of course I can only search for pokemon that I have owned (I think that's how it works) so I simply can never even search for some pokemon, all those that I can search for I have managed to get but Latios for example...forget it! I did try friend codes but due to time zone differences this seems cumbersome and indeed I was let down. I'd really rather not have to purchase multiple games...though I don't have a second DS anyway!

Anyhow...I just discovered Action Replay. Never heard of it before. Seemingly you can do...well, anything, including get pokemon.

My question is:

Can you really do pretty much anything, including get hold of rare/event/version only pokenmon?

Will Action Replay in any way damage either my game or my DSI?

Yeah, you can essentially do a lot of things with the Action Replay. There are a ton of codes for it that include walking through walls, getting certain Pokemon, making all Pokemon shiny, etc. The AR won't hurt your DSi, but if you're not careful, it's possible it can mess up your game. Just make sure you enter codes correctly. I personally don't use them and have never, so I can't tell you how to use them. But anyway, this isn't really a topic that gets to stay open. If you want codes for it, you'll have to Google them as it's against the rules to ask for them or give them out here. Good luck!
