I wish I'd been on here sooner to have more entries for busier days on the app so I'll just start from today's...

September 4, 2016
Not much to add for today unfortunately. Tried to head out for a walk to hatch the four eggs I currently have incubating (1x 2km, 3x 5km) but as soon as the app was cut off from a WiFi connection, the app just sort of gave up and my signal was cut off so I didn't get too far and ended up coming straight home.

Despite this, I have so far caught 2 Venonat, 2 Eevee, 1 Drowzee, 1 Rattata, 1 Weedle, 1 Pidgeotto, 1 Oddish, 1 Spearow and 1 Bellsprout just from sitting around the house.

I think that's all I can say for today...

Had quite an active day… took a walk on the morning and ended up at a Pokestop with a lure which lured a Ponyta, after catching it I was finally able to evolve one of the 3 I now had into a Rapidash. Hatched a Pidgey and then FINALLY got myself a Growlithe from a 5km egg. Most of what I caught after that wasn't worth mentioning, it was just a lot of the usual. Went to see a show in the evening so I had to take the bus since it was around an hour away. Managed to get myself 6 eggs (2x 10km, 3x 5km and 1x 2km) and caught myself another Mr. Mime with a higher CP, also caught myself a Poliwag so I'm now 1 more Poliwag away from being able to evolve my Poliwhirl into a Poliwrath. Levelled up to Level 24 thanks to todays adventures.

I've been feeling quite active for the last week or so since I've had the time off work so I've taken to having a walk on most mornings and I'm not ashamed to say that it's mostly so I can use the app. Ended up getting 3x 10km eggs on this walk so I'll take it as a success. Hatched a Caterpie (yaaaay :/ just what I've always wanted) on the way and also picked up a couple of 5km and a 2km egg too. I assigned my Rapidash to a gym nearby and then fought against a gym under Team Mystic's control and took it for Team Valor, assigning my Tentacruel to it.​

Been a few days so here are a couple of updates on my progress...

September 12, 2016
So after 2 weeks away from work, I, unfortunately, had to go back today :/ Thankfully it means I get to use the app a lot on my journeys to and from work each day and there are a load of Pokestops near where I work. On my way in this morning I caught a few Weedle, Pidgey and Rattata as I always do. I caught a couple of Drowzee and Eevee and then the first ever wild Charmander I've encounted spawned so I just had to get it. I caught a Squirtle and then hatched a Goldeen which I then evolved into a MUCH stronger Seaking than what I had. I then hatched a Squirtle and then caught another one. I also hatched an Eevee, a Caterpie and then my second Scyther. I also caught a Poliwag which allowed me to evolve my Poliwhirl. A Seel also spawned near me but it ran away so no luck on getting candy so I can have a Dewgong just yet.

A lot of the usual today so not much to add here, I caught the usual crap and then a Zubat, a Staryu, a Spearow, a female Nidoran, a male Nidoran, a Psyduck (with 2 spawning together! Why couldn't they have done this when I needed 1 candy to get a Golduck?!?), also caught another Squirtle. Also caught an Oddish so that brings me almost halfway to evolving my Gloom. I hatched a Zubat (yaaaaaay :/ ) and then a Mankey from todays eggs. After days of anticipation, I'm so excited to finally have the new update. I have a few Pokémon in mind to be my buddy but I'm starting with Pikachu having acquired 2, I want to evolve 1 into Raichu.

So it's been almost a week since I had an update, I've been trying to do as much walking as I can for my Pikachu. I'm now at 31 candies so I'm not getting my Raichu just yet but I'm over halfway there at least! I mostly caught a lot of the usual boring Pokémon, I did catch another Slowpoke which brings me almost halfway to getting a Slowbro and I encountered a Magikarp but the app lost connection so it de-spawned, I still don't have a Gyarados and I guess I won't have one for a while. My catch of the day I guess goes to a Bellsprout I happened upon on a walk home which allowed me to evolve my Weepinbell so I finally have a Victreebel! I ended up hatching an Eevee out of my 10km egg which I was really disappointed with considering how often wild ones appear near where I live. I evolved it immediately and got yet another Jolteon, I'm really hoping for a stronger Flareon but I guess my phone just loves Jolteon! Not long after that I hatched another 2km egg which ended up being… a Bulbasaur! I'm so pleased with that as it's only my 2nd ever Bulbasaur. I've never once encountered a wild one so I'll take what I can get.

Nothing exciting today, I caught 11 Pidgey and a couple of Eevee. Encountered yet another Squirtle (they are by far the most common starter Pokémon near where I live, why can't more Charmander appear?! ), Also caught another Mankey which brings me 14 candies away from a Primeape. I hatched a Magikarp so I'm now at 107 candies… still so far from 400! Catch of the day goes to the Machop which lead to me getting a Machoke finally. I'm now sitting at 102 on my Pokédex and 36 Pikachu candy… only 14 to go!!

Not much to add today apart from the usual captures. I did come across the second ever wild Wartortle I've seen and I managed to capture it, I'm now at 61 Squirtle candies so I'll keep it and evolve 1 of my now 2 Wartortles once I have enough candies. I earned 4 more candies for my Pikachu which puts me at 43 candies now, just 7 more to go! I caught basically anything I could on my travels to earn more XP which was enough to push me to Level 25 now.

Ooh good luck with that Gloom! It's definitely a good evolution and I hope you get it soon. :)

Decided to have a trip out of the house today rather than be lazy and it payed off nicely  After walking for a while, I ended up being just 2 candies from my Raichu and simultaneously hatched two of my 5km eggs which ended up being a Vulpix and a Machop. The Vulpix was enough to push my Vulpix candies to 62 meaning I got my Ninetails finally! I also double teamed a gym with one of my friends who is also Team Valor and we assigned our Pokémon to it but it obviously didn't last as that gym always changes teams constantly. We ended up taking a walk down to the quayside in the hopes of getting a Dragonite or even just a Dratini or Dragonair as they're constantly found down there but we got no such love. The walk was enough to get me to 50 candies so I also finally evolved my Pikachu and I now have my Raichu! On the way down though, I hatched ANOTHER Bulbasaur so now I have 3! Weird thing is it was on a walk down to the same place that I hatched my first ever Bulbasaur too. I decided to put on a lucky egg to do some of my evolutions today so I've earned around 20,000 XP and now I have a new buddy… Charmander!

So it's a bit of a steady as she goes journey now for my Charmeleon/Charizard, It's not as exciting when you have to walk 3km for 1 candy after walking 1km for almost 2 weeks for the same outcome but I will stick to it, I've only earned 2 Charmander candies so far meaning I'm still 8 candies from a Charmeleon but we'll get there. Today I've caught a hell of a lot of Rattata, Drowzee and Pidgey in a bid to raise my stardust, I've managed to catch a couple of Nidoran and Krabby as well as an Oddish, a Jigglypuff and a Squirtle. The most exciting moment of today though was the moment I happened upon a wild Dragonite. This is the first time I've ever come across one having only had it in my "Sightings" section until today, unfortunately it ran after 2 unsuccessful attempts to catch it and I discovered it had a 2086CP. I was devastated as you can imagine . I hatched an Oddish (which brings me to around 86 candies, I believe. Vileplume, here I come!) and then finally got myself an Onix from my 10km egg so all in all, not a total loss. I decided to stick my incense on for the journey home from work and I managed to catch my first ever Dragonair, It's not the same as a Dragonite but it almost makes it for it though.

Unfortunately there's not much to update with here, I take the bus to work everyday and I noticed today the distance covered wasn't even half of what it was yesterday when I had gotten a different bus so I'm not sure if it's just down to the speed of the buses because they aren't much different or if it's just bad signal but I only received 1 candy today for my Charmander. I did catch another Oddish which brought my candies to 99 so I took the plunge and transferred all I had and evolved my Gloom into a Vileplume, which brings my Pokédex to 107 Caught, 108 Seen.

Again, only 1 Charmander candy from today, though I have ended the day very close to another one. I'm really disappointed with today's egg hatches, nothing but crap – hatched a Caterpie this morning and then a Rattata. I mean, really? Can they not just ban these from being in eggs. I do, however, have another 7 eggs incubating right now with 6 of them being 5km eggs and 1 being a 2km egg so fingers crossed on what comes out of each of them. I caught myself a Seel on the way home meaning I was able to evolve him and get my Dewgong.

A lot of the usual captures today but I also hatched 6 eggs, two of which were crappy results from 2km eggs (a Pidgey and a Zubat). I hatched four 5km eggs and despite already having 3 of the Pokémon hatched, I'm happy with it. The four were a male Nidoran, a Vulpix and a Cubone as well as a new Pokémon for my Pokédex… a Porygon! Ended up getting my Charmander candies up to 24 today so only 1 more to go! Should have my Charmeleon in the next day or so! I also earned 2 gold medals today (Collector and Psychic). I also caught myself a Slowbro so I'm really happy with that as it's another new entry for my Pokédex.

I think today has been quite a good day with the app despite it glitching on me three times. I hatched another 6 eggs today, 1 of which was another Bulbasaur (my 3rd one in 2 weeks!) and the weird thing I that this happened right after I caught a Squirtle… if only a Charmander had spawned in or hatched too…oh well. I did, however, get my final candy and I now have my Charmeleon!! This means I needed a new buddy so I'm going with Bulbasaur since I'm now 4 candies from an Ivysaur. I've also evolved one of my Diglett's after hatching another one so I have 2 new entries for my Pokédex… I'm now sitting at 112 Caught, 111 Seen.

October 7-9, 2016
Haven't got much to add thanks to the app not being able to connect with the servers for the past few days whenever I had no Wifi connection. So the biggest events are the fact that I am now Level 26, I hatched an Ekans which gave me enough candies for an Arbok, I caught myself my first Primeape (awful CP and IVs though), 2 egg hatches… a Pikachu and a Bulbasaur! And finally I evolved an Eevee hoping for a Flareon with stronger IVs than the one I already had and I actually got one! I'm having to power it up but the IVs are 22% better than the one I already have and this one has Heatwave rather than Flamethrower. I'm now 5 candies from my Blastoise and my Pokédex is sitting at 115 caught, 120 seen (thanks to the new update of adding Pokémon as "seen" if they're on a gym you view).

We finally have some progress with the app today! After a frustrating few days all it took was for me to simply restart my phone and the app connected to the server fine without wifi. My egg hatches were quite disappointing today though, I got 2 Rattata's… fml. There was also an Oddish and an Exeggcute. Got myself another candy for my Squirtle so we're now at 96 candies. I'm trying to gather as much stardust as I can but Everytime I get some I end up using it to power up my newer Flareon (I need it to be over 1000CP!!), it also didn't help that my Arbok was sitting at 999CP (that's just cruel to tease me like that).
