[ASM & Hex] Adding new trainer to pokeyellow

    I've made a rom hack of yellow, and for the post-game i wanted to add some trainers you can rematch as many times as you want. I was able to make a new map where those trainers are located, warps are working with no issues. I added npcs to the room and was able to give them dialogues.... but I have no clue how to make them battle you. I've managed to find only a single tutorial on this but apparently it was outdated as I just got a bunch of error messages. Any help would be very much appreciated, ive been trying to solve this for a couple of days now
