im forming a 3 Pokemon team consisting of Alakazam, Snorlax and Spiritomb.
I also trained a Milotic that i might use instead of someone, but im not sure yet.
I need suggestions on items to hold as well.

    Alakazam @ ?
    Modest
    -Psychic
    -Energy Ball
    -Recover
    -Calm Mind
*notes: my favorite. fast, sp.attk rusher in the beginning. ghost/psychic killer.
im happy with him but i would like suggestions as well. he definitly starts it off.

    Snorlax @ Chesto Berry
    Lonely
    -Earthquake
    -Solarbeam
    -Sunnyday
    -Rest
*notes: i took him out today for a run and i wasnt really impressed.
the Solar Beam was totally weak. i think i need to replace that with something else....

    Spiritomb @ ?
    Calm
    -Shadow Ball
    -Psychic
    -Hypnosis
    -Dream Eater
*notes: my sp. attk wall. another ghost/psychic killer.
i think i want to replace Psychic 'cos i have Shadow ball already.

    Milotic @ ?
    serious
    -Surf
    -Ice Beam
    -Dragon Pulse
    -Recover
[I}*notes: i was going for a special sweeper, but hes not as fast as Alazam.
i took him out for a run today and wasnt all that impressed.
it looks like a lot of people use him for a special wall. should i do that instead?[/I]

*overall notes: i think i might need another Pokemon that isnt so sp.attk. and i think i need to broaden my range of attacks...any suggestions?

Of course Snorlax's Solarbeam sucks, its unSTABed and coming off a horrible Sp Atk, Snorlax is a best with his attack so giving his special attacks is useless

You should probably let Alakazam hold Choice Specs and make sure he's fast and Calm Mind to sweep most opponents. Not sure about Recover. (I'm giving mine Focus Blast);)

Snorlax should have Curse to boost Def. and Atk. and then Rest. Only strong physical attacks like: Body Slam, and Earthquake. Then a move of your choice that would fit.

For Spiritomb, I like Annoyer for him, like Double Team, Rest, Spite and Sucker Punch/Shadow Ball. He should also hold Leftovers if you go with this.Your build is good too but I would get rid of Psychic. I'm uncomfortable with Spiritomb and his movesets I choose though.

For Milotic, I was experimenting with a bold moveset. Hold Flame Orb to increase Def. (and to avoid other conditions like Toxic or Paralyze), Recover to equalize burn, Surf for STAB and an 'annoyer' move like Confuse Ray or Attract.

I would also recommend a Physical Sweeper faster than Snorlax just incase of a Special Wall that would render Alakazam useless.
I hope this helps. - Happy battling.

what? 1 HKO's on lv3 Bidoof's is not a measure of power? :disappoin heh...

thanks for the advice. i'll def. put Choice Specs on Alakazam and look into Focus Blast.

Milotic: how does Flame Orb work? it increases defense and give you "burn"? and the advantage is that other status conditions cant happen to you? really??? have you seen this done before?

    Flame Orb

The way Flame Orb works is the holder gets a Burn condition.
Now, Milotic's ability Marvel Scale increases her defense by 1.5x when she has a status conditon. That is how it works.
