This has probably been suggested multiple times before, but I think it would be a great idea.

I think there should be a board dedicated solely to people who need advice from anything to losing weight to wondering if they're dying.

I know there is a thread dedicated to advice, but I feel that isn't enough. Most people don't browse through a thread searching to help people, and some posts are bound to be lost through-out it.

But the main reason I am suggesting a completely new board for it is the option to post anonymously. Not completely anonymously, the staff can still see who you are if they need to check, but it would be for those people who need advice and are embarrassed of it. I've seen this on other vbulliten forums and it works very well. The seperate board allows more people to be noticed, and the anonymous option allows for people who are shy/afraid/embarrassed of their problems but still want help.

What do you all think? Do you think this would be good, or am I just blowing out nothing? :(

PC is predominantly a Pokémon forum. Why we'd add boards that have little to actually do with them and, in fact, address a niche topic, would escape me.

It doesn't help that it isn't really an often-discussed topic, either.

Pokémon people can be sad sometimes too. :(

Would you rather get advice from ten year olds?

I suggest having a look at

    Very true..

However, I would never use Yahoo Answers. You either get trolls responding or you get redundant or just play unrelated responses usually. Or none at all.

    That's been my experience. D:

The big thing is, there are local and national services designed to assist people in their time of need, aiding teenagers through their tough moments and decisions. PC just cannot foster that kind of service (and plus, it could potentially land us in a legal dispute.)

    Really?

    That's very interesting.

I would ask how but I don't care that much.

The thread never workied out for me, people dont really help there, or not respind, myyearbook (myspace/facebook like place)
has an advice section, they could really help or bring you down, so their honest :D
I have seen other pokemon forums do it. (okay one, b.c i suggested it) it would make a nice touch, but i guess it wont happen :/

I agree with Sotomura on this one. The thread is enough of a liability, so I highly doubt a subforum would be OKed even if we do see a huge demand for it. XD

That being said, I will suggest that perhaps a Social Group for Advice be started, but that's dependent on Staff. If they don't want that to exist, then I'm sure one of 'em will speak up and say so...or ninja delete it when it's created...depending on their reasons and how willing they are to explain their reasons. xD

(Social Groups have threads within them, so people can get individual threads without the need for a specific subforum for the topic. Besides, if you can gather enough support to get a Social Group for that subject running and bursting with activity, then maybe the staff will consider the idea if they decide that they feel the risk of liability isn't too great...provided there aren't any other reasons against it. xD)
