I don't really have a moveset available for an Aerodactyl. But I am working on one and since I've never used an Aerodactyl before and have no idea what he's good and bad with, I need someone to tell me what sort of moveset and nature and item would work best with him.

Just use the one I posted, it's the standered, and if you can't get Liechi Berry, then just use leftovers.

This thread really has no point, because you could use the one I posted, that is the best set for him.

This thread does have a point, because it's about suggestions for a moveset with no preset standards. What moveset you've posted over there I already found a hole in, and besides, it's against the rules to take over someone else's topic like that. With you preaching the rules to me over there, you should have known that. :P

I want to hear multiple movesets here before I choose which one I'll use. WIthout no preconceptions in mind for this guy, I'm as open minded as one could get, and am open to any and all moveset propositions. yours is nice, but they say it's better to look at all your options before you pick. Now me, I have already said I've never made an aerodactyl before and do not know whats good with him. SO I need some more movesets proposed before I try to do it and end up botching him up.

    The standard Aero is:

    Aerodactyl@Choice Band
    Jolly, 252 Speed, 252 Attack, 6 HP
    ~Rock Head
    -Double-Edge
    -Rock Slide
    -HP Flying/Aerial Ace
    -Earthquake

(HP Flying at 70 while mantaining 394 Speed requires an IV setup of (at max) 30/30/30/31/30/30)

That's the most effective setup available. Fire Blast IIRC was a GSC move designed to take out Skarm.

Aerodactyl is fast (usually) and a good physical attacker, but its Defenses aren't amazing, the standard moveset is predictable and easy to counter, and that's about the only decent moveset it gets. I think.

the thing about Aerodactyl is that everyone knows its moveset and can see what's coming, yet they are still helpless to do anything about its devastating attack power along with almighty speed. Stats overwhelming pwnage.

Besides the choicedactyl, there is an Aerodactyl that loses one of those moves (usually double edge because its strong yet doesn't have any type advantage) for substitute in order to be less vulernable to counter, and to activate liechi.

Or there's the possibility of using Fire Blast somewhere on Aerodactyl for taking on Skarmbliss.

Like someone said (forgot who), in GSC, evs could all be maxed, and Fire Blast could do some actual damage. Now, Aerodactyl is usually Jolly, and that minuses Special Attack. Fire Blast wouldn't do much damage to many things that it is super effective too, and Aero can Slide ice types and AA grass types. The only good thing is maybe against Skarm, but some Skarms tank special defense, and some skarms have steel wing over drill peck, and that 2HKOs an Aerodactyl with no def evs. I say leave the Skarm Bliss countering to something else. Dragonite, IMHO.
