    Just out of plain curiosity. I mean, I've seen the odd member who was young as 7, and one who was nearing their forties. So really, what ages are the youngest and oldest PC members? o.O;
Please tell me if this isn't an appropriate question.

Whoops, looks like we can't sort the members list by age.

I think it's safe to say that a 7 year old would be incapable of registering for a forum, the registration process is far out of their understanding and attention span. As for oldest, I've seen a 62-year-old member, although again, they were probably lying.

You also must remember some members lie about thier age. I don't think it's too common now, but they still might.

You two really underestimate people, don't you?

I've got a 8 year old cousin(sp) who does quite a bit on the PC, and, sadly enough, even knew of features in Windows that I had no idea existed. I doubt making an acccount on a forum would be beyond him. With so many children learning about computers at a young age, I doubt many children WOULDN'T know how to register.

As for the other extreme, I'm not too sure. However, you never know what my happen, right?

shanecdavis is 33 years old. I don't think he is the oldest player of Pokemon, but certainly the oldest active member on these forums.

    ...what if I told you I'm not 15? o.o
    I'm not underestimating anyone...

If you're not fifteen, well, then...you're not fifteen. o.o

I really don't think age matters, nor should it be used to judge unfairly. For all I know you can be a six year old prodigy claiming to be an adult.

It's the internet, kids. Everything you know is a lie. XP

I'm really 2 years old. But I have super advanced hi-tech armor that allows me to be super smart and stuff.

hmm, I don't know about PC, but there's someone over 70 years old on another forums I go to...

On the internet, I have learned that age does not matter at all. Some people are surprised when they find out that I'm 14, both in real life and on the internet. I'm told that I'm very mature for my age though. I've known 10 year olds who can type and use forums just as well and are just as fun to talk to as people my age, and I've met 16 year olds who really need to grow up. I beleive that age really is just a number. Maturity comes with intelligence - not age. And to me, lying about your age is just pathetic.

I lie(d) about my age, although I'm 14. Why is it considered pathetic when you said yourself that age doesn't matter over the internet?

Some people are sensitive and personal when regarding ages. On various forums people can and will stereotype you based on your age alone. Maturity does not necessarily have to allign with intelligence; it can also be through experience, which can also come from age. As I said before, it's the internet.

Hey, how about we forget about these so called ages and just focus on personality, XD.

I don't think age matters myself, thats why I never ask, so I will never judge with it...

I say that lying about your age is pathetic because I've seen people before who seem to think they'll be respected more if they say they're four years older than they really are. In a way, I suppose the people who judge them are more pathetic than they are, but in another way it's no different than judging others. They're almost judging themselves for their ages. Besides, on a place like this you can just disable the showing of your birthdate or age unless someone asks you. And I do agree with you that maturity can also come with experiences in life.

And I honestly don't mean any offense by this, I'm just voicing my opinion. I should probably apologize; I'm not in the best mood right now and I just felt like ranting about something without thinking about things all the way through.

Even if they lie about their age for that reason, you said it yourself:

I beleive that age really is just a number.

So, in the end, age doesn't matter unless your personal preference says elsewise.

No apology needed. Opinions aren't against any rules. I do see where you're getting at, so everything's alright. XP

And so I have. I've been on forums ever since I was 8, and I'm not lying. I've never told my age. Until now. I don't like to lie, because I believe that we shuld trust one another if we're gonna be friends, online or offline.
Still, it was just another stupid queston. No need to get serious about it. o.O; But I do agree that on many forums and most of the online world, people stereotype—the ones who are not lying abour their age, and often accept the ones who are.
Just look at all the sites in the world that says you have to be thirteen and up to join. Do you not think some people lie about their age to do so?

Of course, but maybe they wouldn't do it except for the COPPA requirements.

But we don't have it here at PC. Which is really, the only reason of which I joined in the first place. But still, some people are quite judgemental here.

Be 6 or 27, some could care less, and we can't change the fact some are too judgmental. The best thing to do is just enjoy your experience at PC and not stress yourself over age.

My 8-year-old sister is a very active member of Nick.com... what you're saying is just underestimating. When I was 7, I used to hang out on forums all the time. I once played a game of Head to Head Halo 2 with a 9-year-old on XBox Live.
If you read it on the internet, it's a complete and utter lie. Have a nice day.

Who cares? Why does it matter? So what if there's a 7 year old member or 40 year old member? What possible difference will it make to anyone? Why would you take up space on this forum page, possibly knocking out other threads with question that actually pose a thought, in order to find out if a person's age is for real? Why did you even take the time to make this thread?

    How pointless...
