You can end with a comma!

Quite by accident she found herself in the Murderer's secret hideout.

'Run away!' She thought, but then she noticed a pile of donuts in the corner.

So she started to stuff her face.

To her dismay however, upon her first bite she took half a worm in her teeth aswell.

Until the DONUT MURDERER came and tried to decapitate her.

Vexing protagonists wondered why doughnuts, murders and decapitations were introduced so early in this soon to be tripe plot line.
