2nd Gen An Evolutionary Problem...

I had caught a lvl 5 Magikarp and put it in the Daycare centre. I want it to evolve into a Gyarados, butr when I retrieved it, it was a lvl 20, and still Magikarp

When i make Magikarp a lvl 21, will it evolve? or have i doomed myself to having the worst pokemon?

Pokemon never evolve in Daycare.

ok, but will it evolve if i get it up another level manually?

Yep, pokemon only evolve when leveled up by the trainer, never in daycare.

the Magikarp is no longer in Daycare, it is in my part. i am training it up, but once i lvl it to 21, will it evolve?
