    Analysing ?Carole Boston Weatherford? Incident

Famous amongst Pokemon fans, Carole Boston Weatherford had been a target to be made fun of, to be hated, by numerous Pokemon fans.
I admit, that I had been one of them too. However recently, I had let myself to calm down and have a nice think of it. After all, ?Politically Incorrect Pokemon? was written in year 2000?five years from now, and I had finally managed to control my temper.
The thing is that, was ?Politically Incorrect Pokemon? entirely Carole?s creation? I would doubt it. Publishing a newspaper article is not easy at all, as well as low paid. Who would be THAT boring to write an article to a newspaper to complain that Pokemon is ?racist?? No matter how offensive Jynx could be, none whatsoever.
Accordingly, Carole Boston Weatherford is an African American that has won a couple of awards on child fiction. Besides, at that very time when Pokemon was very very popular, she had managed to get a new award. The fact is that, there is a system in USA to protect its own products and exports. Pokemon is a foreign product, and has been too popular, it has affected USA?s products and that in order to protect the exports, they have to lower down the popularity. Seriously, I?m not joking, many countries do have those sort of systems, in fact most countries have this system to secure their products. Only international cities such as Hong Kong and Singapore are asked not to have a secure system.
In order to lower the popularity of Pokemon, to bash it was an ideal way concerned in those days. These systems had to set out a bash, a target author, and a target newspaper to complete their tasks each time. These companies also set out a high price for authors that agree to write what they want. Carole Boston Weatherford could well be one of those chosen authors, and the main point is to lower the popularity of Pokemon. Why? High paid is the answer. These are awfully common in the commercial world, nothing to blaime, no one to hate. If you currently hate Carole Boston Weatherford, please do remove your hate. It might not be entirely her fault and who knows if she was forced or not?
If WB and 4kids think that the article is to complain the appearance or existence of ?Jynx?, they have completely misunderstood. The use of the article is to lower the popularity of Pokemon, not to ban ?Jynx?. So far, WB and 4kids had been pretending that ?Jynx? does not exist, and not a Pokemon or whatsoever. However, is that the right way to do? Or, did the company force Carole Boston Weatherford to command WB to ban Jynx, in order to at least make Jynx fans stop watching Pokemon? There could be many reasons. Whatever this may be, Pokemon is not that popular now, and doing all these sorts do not worth it.
Well, a really long one, but anyway, discuss.

Sounds more like scapegoating than anything else. It is extremely difficult to maintain the substantial level of intererest achieved in 1999, particularly with children. Furthermore, it is likely that fans simply accumulated their desired amount of Pokemon swag.

Remember, it the world of conspiracy theories, there are always more theories than conspiracies.

Er, sorry, English is not my mother tongue, don't quite understand what you said.

i never hread of Carole Boston Weatherford. but the theory that the US is out to hurt all outside things make cents. Pokemon was big at the time. making more money then maybe Mario and sure sure more then any US product (cartoon and anything else) and the US does have a history on doing that.

I against Jynx baning. I mean that Jynx is racist thing is stupid. i mean why ban Jynx, i like jynx. and they banned all jynx esp. even the Christmas one. They need to ban Snorunt too for the same reason too. it only fair (but they won't because it on Ash hoenn team)

lots of people said that Snorunt don't look as human...

Well, I think its silly too! "Politically Incorrect Pokemon" is meant to be lowering the popularity, not to ban Jynx!

I'm surprised that even teenagers understand this more than WB does! =.=
Or, is WB, CBW and the system playing the same game together?
    sigh...

I swear, these people only gain joy from picking at programs..it's pretty sad..
As if all african americans hate pokemon due to jynx being too discriminatory -.- when anything becomes popular, critics love to pick it apart..probably because they know their story will sell and they want to feel important -.-
Next they'll start saying that Slaking is dicriminating against obese people -.-

First and foremost, SBaby is NOT racist, nor will he ever be. I am a HUGE fan of Chris Rock, Eddie Murphy, Will Smith, Xhibit (Not sure if that is the correct spelling), as well as many others. I use the term black people because if any ARE living in Japan, they can't really be called African-Americans. Anyway, that is my disclaimer before the post.

In response to the article (and ONLY the article):

    I agree.

And Pokemon is the ONLY Anime that she wrote a book against. Doesn't that strike anyone as odd?

Here's the deal. Pokemon is an Anime. Anime comes from Japan. Have you ever seen any black people living in Japan? I think not.

Most Anime will 100 percent of the time involve an all-white cast. There are very few Animes that are exceptions to this rule.

I can say without a shadow of a doubt, Pokemon is NOT an exception to this rule. They have an all-white cast. It's just the way the Anime tradition is.

So, this is a warning to all authors. Saying that Pokemon, or any other Anime is racist, is not only a lie, but is a bash against the very customs Japan holds.

I don't know if Weatherford was indeed behind it, or if it was some government conspiracy aimed to control the Nation's youths. While I'm not ruling the conspiracy thing out, I can say that it is in fact frivolous propaganda that not many people have heard of anyway.
