Has anyone else noticed that the animations are almost solely in the upgrade versions of pokemon games? I don't remember yellow, but in like emerald they made the pokemon move when you checked them out, or they introed into battle. But not in RS, LG-FR, I don't know about DP. But just assuming they don't lol. Anyone else kinda disappointed that that keeps happening?

If im wrong btw, let me know.. wrong about this topic, not my hair color or how tall I think I actually am. lol

Ok i dont understand your question, whats animations are upgraded from?

And no pokemon yellow didnt have animations, it was first introduced in crystal. whenever you viewed pokemon yeah they moved, it isnt anything new.

My question was, why did they stop the pokemon animations, and did they pick them up in DP, I assumed they didn't because i've heard alot of bad reviews about DP, sadly. I'll still get them lol. The upgrades I refered to were as you said started in Crystal, but then NOT carried over into RS, then appeared again in Emerald. w00t.

You assumed wrong. I guess the emerging pattern has been broken.

Kinda snarky comment for a newbie poster, but thanks for the info about DP Indeed having animations for the pokemon.

Well i dont know really know why, Gamefreak has this thing that goes in order.

    Reguler | Regular | Animation
    Gold-------Silver-----Crystal
    Ruby-----Sapphire---Emerald

and of course, FR/LG dont count cause their remakes of Red and Blue.

Then agian, i guess Gamefreak decide they wanted animations in DP, not for any reason, but an effort to make it a better game then its predecessors, then again, im just guessing.

    One can hope.

Im glad they put the animations into DP, always made the game less... flat and plastic. It was a letdown when there weren't animations in RUby and Saph. But oh well, upend they return in the reg games of DP.

Still kinda surprised they didn't redo Yellow as well. But I can see why, they mainly let that out, to appease the anime-fanboys and girls, and to keep peeps interested for the GS release.

Hopefully they redo Gold/Silver soon for the DS. That'd be nice. I know my Silver and Crystal versions already lost their batteries.

Mainly reason why, its that yellow is based off of Red and Blue, just as Crystal to Gold and Silver, and Emerald to Ruby and Sapphire.

Gamefreak doesn't care about the games that are based other versions, just as they can remake from the originals versions.

Yeah without having to rely on the internal battery of the game cartridge, the game save would last longer.
