Approved: Anime Marathon (via stream)

Since it's kind of required, here's the planning thread.

No extra volunteers are needed at the moment.

We've already decided on using Livestream as the source. It's debatable on how long we'll be running per day at the moment.

No Emblems. I personally think while giving away hats achievement points titles emblems boosts popularity and draws interest, popping into a stream, saying "I'm xxx on Pokecommunity" and idling, does not warrant an emblem. Especially so when half the people that come in probably aren't interested in participating at all.

The name of the game is "summer." The target anime type is summer anime. My basic plan is to leave at least one day to show a lot of the shows from the summer season. For the rest, ~12 and ~24 episode series marathons with possible movies every so often.

I don't know formatting fun, so I won't be making the first post fancy.

Most discussion between us will probably be in IRC, I'll relay need-to-know information as it comes up (like which shows, schedules etc.)

I will be streaming in the mornings starting a week from tomorrow (hopefully). Friday morning will be all CCS, Saturday and Sunday mornings will be other things (to be determined). I ought to start around 8:30 or 9:00 AM EDT (GMT - 4). People can view the stream here once it goes live. If things go wrong Friday, I will (unfortunately) not be there to do anything about it (I have work, won't get out until around 5 or 6). Things won't go wrong Saturday or Sunday because I will be there to supervise things and chat and whatever.

So far, the only things I'll be confirmed to show are Cardcaptor Sakura and Steins;Gate up through the latest episode. Everything else is up in the air (I may show a number of one-offs).

Anime Stream
feat. digi & twocows

Information

twocows and I will be running an anime stream most of the get-together. We will be using our personal livestream accounts to do so, and will likely be going back and forth between streams as we are available (twocows has an internship, I have a bad sleep schedule, and an exam on Friday). Theme used to be summer, but it ended up falling off once we decided we were only going to do anime previews instead of full series marathons because it makes it easier for people to hop in.

Schedule

The plan is to divide each of the 4 days into different parts for each day. The schedule is as such:

Friday:

Cardcaptor Sakura w/ twocows​

Saturday:

Anime Previews. We will be doing previews of various anime. We will be playing 2-4 episodes of each anime before switching​

Sunday:

Summer 2011 Anime. We will be showing shows from the brand-new season. It will likely be 2 episodes each unless it aired this last week. Worst case is that we won't have subs for Dantalian no Shoka.
hopefully twocows leaves some of the good shows for me to stream​

Monday:

Movie/OVA Day. We'll be watching movies and OVAs all day Monday. The theme is generally summer still​

There's a small chance that we end up running out of things to show. If that's the case I'll end up streaming random anime-related stuff, like continuing shows, taking requests, etc.​
