Anime Plot sinking...?

I never saw manga where I lived. Maybe it was at Barnes & Nobles, but I only saw "How to draw anime/manga!" stuff. And I know we didn't have anything at the school library...

He lost to him in the Johto series, sorry about that.
Oh.
Like I said; stick to what you were doing. Don't change it.
So you want a boring and really repetitve show? It's already pretty repetitive as it is.
Yeah, well I didn't get it.
So you get mad when they keep it, but you get mad when they change it. Some people can't be pleased.
The Anime doesn't follow the Manga.
Duh.
And Lance isn't "twisted" in Pokemon Adventures. He's just mis-understood. But the conversation isn't about him.
He had a pretty twisted view it seems. But I'm dropping it.

I think it's great that the anime doesn't follow the video games point-for-point. I recall that a friend of mine once tried to write his own "Pok?mon" fanfiction that followed RBGY verbatim, and it was horribly predictable and boring. Nobody ever said that the anime had to be exactly like the games, anyway; it's not like the Japanese producers are breaking some iron-clad rule here. It's a show about Satoshi and his attempts to become a master at Pok?mon training and mature as a human being. And the show's displaying exactly that - Satoshi started out as a novice in the Kanto League, gained more knowledge in the Orange and Jouto Leagues, and now he's become the experienced trainer in the Houen League, passing his intelligence down to Haruka. That kind of character development is great to see on a show that got so monotinous for so long. You may want the anime to stick to the tried-and-true, but they did that in Jouto and I quit watching as a result because every episode was basically the same. Changing the video game's storyline for the Kanto League, then changing the anime's basic premise for the Houen League, was a great decision, and it brought me back to the show.

Raven: Do you think they'll have a new series name, since they first used Pocket Monsters and Pocket Monsters Advanced Generation?
I hear there supposed to be a new opening theme coming out on CD around November, the exact month Diamond/Pearl come out. And from what I've heard, the opening's been refered to as the "New TV Series Opening." Either that indicates that Advanced Generation will evolve into a new series like it did from Pocket Monsters, or it's simply just a new opening to a new region like OK! was to Rivals. It's all up in the air, really.

Usually you won't find manga in your regular bookstore, you should have a manga/comics specialist somewhere though~

Sorry, but the Pok?mon manga (Specials and Toshiro Ono's manga) were EVERYWHERE. Comic stores, small comic stands, grocery stores, 7-11s, airports, everywhere. At least that was the case here in the US. So people here can't exactly say the anime does poorly in ratings when it's pulling in ALOT more despite not being widely available as the manga was.

True, but you can get anything in the US. Here in Australia, you can't get anything! No Mangas, no "good" Animes that 4-Kids haven't screwed with. Nothing. And the Special is a comic, too. If it was actually a TV show, a lot of people would like it. It's got a deeper plot and it's more mature. ^_<

I see you live in Victoria - if you live anywhere near the city, have you tried Minotaur? They generally have a decent selection - although I haven't been near them for a while, and I'm not sure if they have Pok?mon. Also, Target is bringing in a few now, I've seen stuff like .hack//TWILIGHT and Love Hina. When it comes to Pok?mon, however, it's VERY hard to source manga in Australia, and generally I have to ask my dad to buy it for me in Japan if I can be bothered :)

After Ash collected his first set of badges, didn't Professor Oak say something about of the four trainers from Pallett Town, Gary and Ash were the only ones who stuck with the traning?

To me, the other reason why have this bias to the anime is that it has too many loose ends. Too many unsolved mysteries and unexplained stuff. Just too many and too absurd to discuss all about them... Satoshi's father, the GS Ball, the other two trainers, etc, etc, etc.... I like something that is solid and is explainable. I don't want to be left out in the dark because of a plot that never proves itself...

Yes, there are a lot of things I'd like to see explained, but maybe if we stick with it for long enough they'll get explained! XD

Okay, why the hell does everyone keep bringing up Satoshi's father? HE'S NOT IMPORTANT SEEING AS HE WAS ONLY MENTIONED ONCE. How hard is it to understand? And if he's brought in one episode as a normal trainer, then what? Would people then be satisfied that they spent years complaining over another mediocre trainer? Jebus, give it a rest. He wasn't important to begin with and he never will be. Why isn't anyone raising a fuss over any of the manga characters' parents? IIRC, the manga's based off the games. Which the main character (excluding the RuSaEm series) had only ONE parent and the other was never mentioned or heard from except for "Maybe Dad'll like this.." So mind telling me why no fuss is put in this?

GS Ball. Fairly obvious there was never going to be a point to it beside bringing Satoshi to Jouto. It was also obvious it'd take a LONG time for that ball to be opened. If it takes someone who's known for being a Monster Ball expert much longer than expected to figure out its secret, you know there'd be absolutely no way of figuring out the point to it..other than being an ADVERTISEMENT.

Two other trainers? Ookido-Hakase clearly said after the 8th badge being won that the two other trainers found things too hard and gave up, leaving Satoshi and Shigeru to be the only two of the four still in the Kanto League.

Care bringing up any other "loose ends?"

Hahah. Yeah! XD

Waiit. Didn't someone mention before about Red (from the manga) not having parents? Nobody made a big deal about that. o-o And I always saw the anime as a cutesy random kind of thing. If you want serious stuff, then.. Don't watch it? o-o;

Fools. Ash's dad is HO-OH!

... This is random (but we are talking about dads), but why in the HELL do people think Ho-oh and Delia got together and had Ash? I really don't understand. <.<
A question that has baffled scientists for years.

No way. His dad is Giovanni. "dey sed so een pockemon roxxx!!!!1111one" That'd be creepy, though. I even like the Ho-Oh idea better than this one. XD
