Ok I will just write out the deck... then go into detail on why its in the deck and what it will accomplish against a "Cookie Cutter" deck, a Cyber Stein OTK, a Dark World deck and possible a Freed/Ninja Return.

2x Dark Ruler Ha Des
1x Blowback Dragon
1x The End of Anubis

42 Total

2x Ancient Lamp
2x Amazoness Swords Women
2x Winged Sage Falcos
2x Mind Crush
1x Fairy Box
2x Trap Dustshoot
1x Sakuretsu Armor
Yes I know it looks ALL over the place and looks like it would not work at ALL... now lets bypass the fact that some of these cards are generally thrown in a common box never to be seen (Trap Dustshoot, Winged Sage Falcos, Inaba White Rabbit, Cold Wave, My Body as a Shield)
Well I am going to go into detail on virtually EVER card ok that deck-list... I really think you should take the time to read this... because in theory this could really dominate agaisnt a Cookie Cutter deck...
Tribute Line-Up
Cyber Dragon: Obviuos choose for any deck based on attacking. Its a tribute fodder and really doesn't need any explanation on why it is good. But soon we will find out how to beat this thing.
Dark Ruler Ha Des: How I loved this guy many a time ago. I dont understand why it died off so quickly. Completing negating opponents effects should not be under-estimated.
Lets take a look see at the following information collected from the two Shenon Jumps this format
Sheonen Jump Boston
Cards Played Dark Ruler Dominates
Treeborn Frog 6 Played
Gravekeepers Spy 6 Played
Dekocihi the Battlechanted Locomotivbe 15 players
Magician of Faith 6 Played

So you like the list?
Not counting side decks Dark Ruler negates the effect of 141 of the 331 monsters played at the 2 SJCs. If you get this guy on the field with the proper support it can be game winning. His 2450 attack is simple a broken number in this game. He beats out the top tribute mosnters played... each and every one of them fall to Dark Ruler. Jinzo, the Monarchs both cry when a Dark Ruler attacks and has that extra 50 points that ends there rain on the field and allows my Dark Ruler to take control.
Now the draw back of Dark Ruler is the no rivial aspect. If you dont play one card that revives a monster... does it matter? Well that is what this deck has. NO Call of the Haunted or Premature. Pretty bold I know. This is partly due to another tribute monster I will be getting at soon enough.
Blowback Dragon: This was a last minute idea I had. While looking for spells for this deck (which was a bit difficult cause I found myself with a spell lineup to similar to a Cookie Cutter line-up and thats not what I am looking to accomplish here.) This guy was a perfect monster for the deck. I have the prority to flip a coin when he is summoned to target that facedown Torrential I know the opponent is itching to activate when he hits the field. Well there is a chance I blow it away rendering it useless. Once on the field he can contunue to hit my opponent back field and allow the Dark Ruler to eat effect monster after effect monster. Again with THREE My Body As a Shield I strongly believe keeping him on the field is not an impossible task.
The End of Anubis- Why did this card never get to have its time on top... one word CHAOS. Even with this 2500 beatstick with an amazing effect on the field it felt like you would hear "I remove a light and a dark" the next turn. Then bam.. the Sorceror would remove this guy from play never to be seen... to bad he doesn't negate remove from play cards. Then this would of been a perfect tech vs Chaos. Either way like Dark Ruler lets break down what this guy negates that were seen in the Top 8 of both SJCs =D This will be a collection of both SJCs… these numbers here
I also will have some abbrvs. Main Deck= MD Side Deck= SD simple enough
Treeborn Frog 12 Played
Magician of Faith- 13 Played
Sangan- 16 Played
Mystic Tomato- 20 Played
Twin Headed Behemoth- 1 Played
Newdoria- 2 Played
Nimble Momonga- 6 Played 11 Side Decked
Apprentice Magician- 4 Played
Iron Blacksmith- 1 Played
Pot of Avarice- 10 Played
Premature Burial- 15 Played MD 1 Played SD
Call of the Haunted- 2 Played MD 6 Played SD
Last Will- 8 Played MD 1 Played SD
Goldd- 9 Played SD
Silvaa- 3 Played SD
Ok not quite as effective as a Dark Ruler in terms of monsters. The End of Anubis does cover some very popular Spells and Traps though. All of the revival cards are rendered useless. Then the all mighty Pot of Avarice turns into a dead card with a picture of a Pot looking like Hitler. The popular side decked Dark World cards are useless. Not to mention a Dark World deck period would not know what hit them when this guy begins to take control of the field. An Achilles heal to this guy could be Freed the Brave Wanderer. But My Body as a Shield could always have something to say about that.
Well that covers our Tributes lets begin in with some of the monsters that don't require a tribute. Some real nice techs including:
King Tiger Wanghu
Banisher of the Radiance (Fine not much of a secret but still)
Steamroid
Inaba White Rabbit
Goblin Elite Attack Force
Legendary Jujitsu Master
I am going to break each of these guys down into what they counter. I am not going to use the SJC deck numbers for these. I am going to point out general monsters, spells and traps they counter
King Tiger Wanghu:
Exiled Force (Losing priority)
Cyber Stein (read above)
Injection Fairy Lily
Mystic Tomato
Giant Rat
Pyramid Turtle
Treeborn Frog
Cannon Solider
D.D. Warrior
Don Zaloog
Cliff the Traper Remover
Sangan
Spirit Reaper
Mystic Swordsman LV 2
Now yes… why would someone summon one of these in attack (regarding some of them). Well pick a tribute (Dark Ruler, Anubis or Blowback) with this Tiger out no Injection Lily, or Exiled Force need apply =D
And if either of those are out the opponent is virtually forced to set a monster that will be destroyed by Anubis or Dark Ruler soon enough likely negating the effect.
This King Tiger is just another way to protect the top monsters of this deck.
Did I mention no Exiled-Last Will-Cyber Stein when he is out
Banisher of the Radiance:
Mystic Tomato
Giant Rat
Sangan
Spells looking to be Magician of Faithed
Traps looking to be Masked of Darknessed
Monsters wanting to be Called or Prematured
…honestly this card is not a secret and its uses are WELL known… I don't want to repeat what has already been said about him.
Steamroid/Goblin Elite
One use and one use only (Other than being a beatstick of course)
CYBER DRAGON PWNAGE
These two guys jump to 2200 and 2300 respectively in battle with a Cyber Dragon. A supreme way of removing Dragon from the field. No need to go count out the amount of these used at the SJCs… I bet ATLEAST an average of 2 per deck… likely MORE.
Inaba White Rabbit
Da King.. why are you playing a spirit with 700 ATK that merely attacks directly?
Because it's a lighting rod so to say. The opponent will eventually give in and use the Sakuretsu they have ready for one of the main tributes in this deck. That cannot happen. Therefore that 700 LPs they loss each turn will add up… 700..1400…2100.. before you know it I have done 4200 damage with this guy. That Sakuretsu will be wasted… enabling me yet ANOTHER layer of protection for the big guys in the deck.
The remaining monsters… Kycoo, Jujitsu, Breaker, DDA, DDWL, MOF are all well known and don't really need to be explained.
What I will explain is NO SANGAN… yes no Sangan… in this deck its uses are limited to DDWL, Jujitsu, Inaba, MoF.. not ground breaking. And don't want to get my own card (Anubis) to be stabbing my back =D
~The Spells~
Some standard stuff… two main "Surprises"
Cold Wave
My Body as a Shield
Cold Wave stops sets and activations of both players traps and spells until your next turn. Dark Ruler is like a Jinzo-Spell Cancellor and Dark Ruler for a turn with this.... and don't forget… you get ONE turn without worrying about traps. AND a turn not worrying about a set of a trap that could get a big tribute.
Multi tasking is fun… finally My Body as a Shield. The ultimate protection in this format. Stops Mirror Force, Zaborg, Smashing Ground, Exiled, Sakuretsu, Widepspread, Torrential, Fissure and all that other good stuff for a small 1500 LP payment
Well worth it!
~The Traps~
Sakuretsu… no explaining needed of.. Ring… same deal… Mirror Force… same deal
But woah.. whats that.. FAIRY BOX?!?.. Forced Back ?!?..
Fairy Box can be a Sakuretsu and Magic Cylinder if you call a simple coin flip.. and its continuous… this is never expected by the opponent and could wreck havoc if I am lucky!
Forced Back… counter trap.. nice and fast. Jinzo BEGONE..Zaborg BEGONE… Exiled Force BEGONE… Stein… BEGONE… summon your Cyber End… doesn't matter BEGONE
Yea a -1 if its not a tribute monster I know… But still. I didn't think this game was won with a tally chary with moves that gain a + or a –
Was that a new rule or something?
Forced Back a solid card..
I want to explain my side deck as well.. oh LOOK its not a Cyber Stein side-deck! That's what everyone with a not cookie cutter deck has… because they don't trust in there deck enough to win a match and need to "revert" to uses Stein to win
Side Deck: 15
3x Sasuke Samurai #4
2x Ancient Lamp
2x Amazoness Swords Women
1x Winged Sage Falcos
2x Mind Crush
2x Fairy Box
2x Trap Dustshoot
1x Sakuretsu Armor
Yea… random stuff!... not
Sasuke #4.. for those that forget he is the flip a coin before Damage Calculation… you call it right destroy the monster.
• You activate the effect of "Sasuke Samurai #4" at the beginning of the Damage Step, before the monster is flipped face-up. A monster destroyed by the effect of "Sasuke Samurai #4" is not destroyed as a result of battle. There is no damage calculation. It is not flipped face-up. Any Flip Effects it has are not activated.
So.. it's a Monarch eater AND a stronger Mystic Swordsman… if your lucky of course. This guy could stop an opponent from attacking with a Zaborg in fear of this effect. This card combos with the also side decked Fairy Box ( and one main decked) to form an impressive wall. You need to bet two coin flips to get an attack through… You bet the Sasuke flip.. congrats now lets flip with Fairy Box and see if we can kill your monster and deal 1200
Stein crys to the following:
Ancient Lamp
Amaazoness Swords Women
Mind Crush
Trap Dushshoot
I attack with Cyber End Dragon… flip Ancient Lamp… target Stein… Cyber End attacks Cyber Stein… game over
Cyber End Dragon.. limiter removal… attack face down… flip Amazoness Swords Women… game over
Mind Crush and Trap are activated when Trunade is played and takes the Stein right out of the hand of a Stein player…
Ok ONE card left to explain… of boy am I tired from this here typing!
Winged Sage Falcos… need a bit of refreshment?
You can return your opponent's face-up Attack Position monster, that this card destroyed and sent to the Graveyard as a result of battle, to the top of your opponent's Deck
Attack Sangan… Tomato… Rat etc. it's a less extreme Banisher of Light… and it's
1700 attacker… can cancel with D.D.
