Hi all, my friend recently did a self made video on Adele's Someone Like You and i think it's pretty good. Just thought of sharing with you guys:)

Anyway, do u guys here like adele??

I don't really like Adele. She sings beautifully but her whole album is break-up songs and I find break-up songs incredibly taxing to listen to. Granted, I've only heard three of her songs that I'm aware of, but they were the songs that she thought were the best in the album to become singles so I figure it's a fairly accurate sample of her work. I will admit that I enjoyed "Rolling In The Deep", but both the follow-up singles I've heard; "Someone Like You" and "Set Fire to the Rain" I find so incredibly whiny. I cannot stand whiny songs and both of them just really came off that way to me. "Someone Like You" is particularly guilty of this; a large portion of it is just wailing. Beautifully-toned wailing, but still wailing.

Also, her non-singing voice is like nails on a chalkboard.

I watched your friend's video though, and even though it's my least favourite song I think he did it very well :)

I love her to death. Granted, Like Shining Raichu said, her songs one after another fifty times in a row can be a bit draining. I mean, I love them, but for God's sake woman, learn to be happy about it for once. I feel as if I need a vat of frozen yogurt to eat while I cry listening to her songs or some crap like that.

I do love the story behind the names of her albums though. She admits she has a very low creativity level, and when she recorded her first album, she was 19 years old at the time, and had no clue what to call it. So she told producers to call it "19". Thus a trend was born, I guess. I think it'd be neat if one year we're a bit older in our thirties or such and we see an album from her named "43". I'd roll on the ground from laughing.

I think Adele is grand. I am not a fan of break up songs at all, and yeah most of her songs are about that, but when you hear her sing, you can feel that pain. And feeling it in her passion and when you've been there yourself, it hits you at home. Now, whiny? If you want whiny break up songs with the same premise, go listen to Taylor Swift. Those are redundant whiny break up songs.

I am sick of hearing her same songs over and over again, though. But that really applies to anyone. I'm sick of hearing a lot of people. lol

And for those of you waiting for happy Adele songs, there might be some in the future. She's apparently working on a new album, because she's inspired by a new guy in her life. So...you might get happy relationship songs. Or just sappy ones. ...I want an Adele cover of I Will Always Love You, now. But anyway, just thought I'd bring that to your attention.
