I've been playing Pokemon Go for three days now, and I live in the middle of nowhere, where everywhere is someone's front yard. Because of this, I've had trouble actually exploring. I've been seeing them show up on my radar, only to find out that I'm going to have to go on someone else's property. As a self proclaimed goody-two-shoes, I decided to keep checking back until I saw something that I could actually catch.
This never happened, so now that it's day three, I grew tired of waiting and decided to start exploring. Once I made it past a few driveways (which is a long way in a rural area), I found and captured a Goldeen. Then, six more just popped up on my radar out of nowhere. I thought it was all about to pay off until I saw their dog running down their driveway, barking at me. For all I know, he just wanted to play, but I didn't get along too well with my friend's Rottweiler earlier today, so I wasn't interested in finding out.
I got on my bike and came back home. It was too tempting to see all of these Pokemon popping up and not being able to do anything about it, so after a few minutes, I got back on my bike and headed out. The dog was gone, and according to my GPS, all of them were hanging out around the same driveway that I found my Goldeen.
I was standing right on top of the ruffling leaves, but I got nothing. I'm sure I didn't look 'all there' to the strangers who were hanging out in their front yard across the road, as they saw some random kid pacing back and forth in their neighbor's driveway for minutes on end, staring at their phone.
Then, I heard the dog start barking again, and I ran back to my bike. In tradition of chase scene cliches, my shoe came off, so I kicked off the other and rode back barefoot. Now my toe is bleeding, and I'm looking for any kind of way to lure the Pokemon to me, so that I don't have to do that again.
If you have any suggestions, or if there is some game aspect that I'm missing, I'd appreciate the help.
