Any tips for editing tall grass animations? - Emerald

I wish to introduce a custom tileset to my romhack, however, I cannot for the life of me find a viable way to successfully replace the tall grass in emerald, I can replace the tile, but whenever I step on the new grass, it looks awful as the old animation plays. Where can I find this animation to edit it to suit my needs?
