You can have your Noctowl back, just go catch a filler PKMN like a starly or something.

thanks for the Misdeavus, to infect other pokemon put the infected pokemon in the battle space and the pokemon you want to infect next to it. then battle with the infected pokemon and the other pokemon will get infected. if it doesn't get infected the first time don't worry just keep battling. infected pokemon with have PKRS on there status bar.
