I don't really listen to rap on the account of my perception of it,

Rap is crap!

So I wouldn't know of this "Kid Cudi".
Or the fact he sounds like a Food dish, Plant, or slang for the word Orgasm.
 
Day N Night is decent enough, but I haven't heard much of his other stuff, but as far as rappers go, he is actually decent in my opinion.

My brother (the world's biggest music nerd by my estimation) is completely infatuated with Cudi's style. XD
 
Kid Cudi, not one of my favorite artists. I only have one song by him, and I don't even like it.

I do like some rap, like I do like Jay Z, but I mostly listen to everything except Country and Rap.
 
Do you guys who like him actually listen to his voice as he raps/sings/makes a fool of himself?
I don't understand why they didn't auto-tune his sad attempt at vocals on his tracks like they do the rest of these rappers or any other MTV artist that is using their voices in songs these days.
If this is what the talent agents are signing lately then the music industry truly is ruined.
Well, to be honest it was totally ruined the second Katy Perry made a song dedicated to kissing women...

Don't get me wrong, I like the beat in the Day and Night (Vs Crookers mix), but overall this kid is nothing but another unemployed sap the agents managed to find on the streets and sign.

I give him a couple of months/another album before he loses it. :\

I don't listen to Rap. I only like at least one song with a japanese rapper but....he's doing a collaboration with one of my favorite artists. ^_^
And My friends babble about rappers and stuffs all I know of so far is ; "N-Dubz" o.O

So I'm guessing you've only listened to Day N' Nite, right? Yeah. Check out the 'A Kid Named Cudi' mixtape before you say anything else. This kid produces instrumentals for himself and other artists, he raps and sings, he plays a number of different instruments, and as if that wasn't enough, he acts too. Pretty sure Cudi is overflowing with talent, as long as your definition of talent isn't 'being able to produce something that appeals to only you'.

Seriously? >_> Have you actually even heard the songs your bashing? The beat is the exact same, just one version has heavier drums. Is it even possible to enjoy the Crookers mix without appreciating the original (which Cudi produced, by the way)?

Ew, Kid cudi. @_@ Day N Nite is one of the most annoying and monotonous songs I've ever listened to. Plus I hate rap in general.
 
There are a very select few hip-hop artists I find decent, the only one I listen to often being MF Doom. I haven't heard of Kid Cudi, and I probably won't bother to seek his music out.
