Anyone miss the old YouTube gen 6 and 7 shiny hunting and competitive theme battles hypes?

People used to post videos all the time of random shiny encounters and on the competitive scene they battled with a specific theme in mind. Switch games no longer have that kind of 3ds hype. Sure, there are people still posting, but it isn't as popular. Was there really much hype on the switch titles?
