April - Monthly Celebration?

We have December celebrating Christmas/end of year holidays, right? And we have February with Valentine's day. I've got a suggestion for April. According to Benji Madden from Good Charlotte, the band will have been together for ten years this April - so I propose that we make April 2005 an official PC Good Charlotte Celebration Month. *looks at the people staring oddly* What? It's a perfectly valid idea. And I know at least three other members will back me up on this one XD. (David, Shana, Mandi, get over here!) We could have a GC sig/avatar competition (<3333333 Joel), a GC roleplay, a GC singing contest, we could put together a PC band and record GC covers, we could do GC poetry and fanfics... and debates on why GC is better than Simple Plan (if only just), and on why it's universally hated by "real punks" because the members are seen as "posers" while Simple Plan doesn't get slammed the same way, and other pop-punk bands like Green Day and the Offspring are loved. Oh, and we could always slam the Dwarves and EskiRAMA for writing insulting songs about Good Charlotte. But I'm actually serious about this idea. How about it?

March/April would be easter, so we have a celebration ^^;

Most celebrations are for actual holidays and things like that, if we begin this band thing, then we'll end up having all sorts of crazy celebrations

But Easter is so boring... and it's, uh, discriminatory against those who don't get Easter eggs anymore! XD

Although Christmas and Valentine's Day have morphed into some media induced spend fest, the majority of the PC Population do still celebrate them (sort of). Having a whole month of celebration for a band that only a select few adore... it just seems a bit weird. Easter should be good enough ^_^ *gives JA an early Easter Egg*

I dont think that is a good idea. Just make a thread in OE in April and then ppl can discuss it there.

But seriously, I don't think this is that great of an idea. First of all, not everyone likes Good Charlotte, and second of all, it isn't even a real holiday. oO; Besides, what would stop people from requesting May to be "Snoop Dog Celebration Month"? =X

Naw, coz then other people would ask for other band celebrations..and it wouldn't really become popular ^^;
Look at valentines day -noone even entered the sig/card contest, and since even less people love GC it would be even less active ^^;
Easter and april fools are enough ^^ don't have to be religious to celebrate easter -a lot celebrate it for the eggs XD

Personally, I don't think its a valid celebration o.O' Its like me asking to celebrate Tanemura sensei's birthday o.O
Is simply something personal. Personally it would have been much more appropriate to celebrate our year of the rooster or something similar instead. No one seemed to care much about it o.O'

Sowwie JA, but having member-personalised celebrations just wouldn't be a good idea, and it'd probably get out of hand ^^; just have ur own celebration thread XD
