Arcanine moveset

    What would be the best set-up for an Arcanine? I want to know EVs, Nature, Anything!

    (Take a look at my sig too) :D
     
    Arcanine @ Leftovers
    Trait: Flash Fire
    Modest Nature (252 SAtk / 252 Spd / 4 HP)
    - Flamethrower / Heat Wave (if you're into that...)
    - Dragon Pulse
    - Sunny Day
    - Solarbeam
    Exploitation of all good Special Attacks of Arcanine.


    But you can also go MixArc:

    Arcanine @ Leftovers
    Trait: Flash Fire
    Lonely Nature (Not yet sure on EVs.)
    - Flamethrower / Heat Wave / Flare Blitz / Overheat / Fire Blast (in order of dependability)
    - Thunder Fang
    - Crunch / Dragon Pulse
    - Reversal / Extremespeed

    I tried[/] a physical sweeper Arcanine, but I'm not too sure if it was the best option.

    Adamant Nature (252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 HP)

    - Extremespeed
    - Crunch
    - Thunder Fang

    Basically just useful for maximum coverage.
     
    The purely physical set of Arc lacks the reliability of Earthquake, and Dig goes nowhere near that reliability, so I really prefer the Mix or the Special. Hidden Power [Ground] might be an order. Hidden Power [Grass] and a utility move like Agility could be placed instead of Sunny Day and Solarbeam. At least with Agility, you can remove some Spd EVs and put them on Def or HP so that he can live longer.
     
    here's what i use:

    Arcanine @ Lum Berry/Leichi Berry/Salac Berry/Expert Belt
    Rash Nature
    252 SP ATK/116 ATK/140 SPD
    -Flamethrower
    -Dragon Pulse
    -ExtremeSpeed/Reversal
    -Substitute/Endure

    fire + dragon hits everything except heatran.
     
    well i don't use it for endure + reversal, i use it for extremespeed, but that's why salac berry is an option.
