Are Megas needed in VGC 18

    I just wonder if a Mega is needed this year. Team building isnt a strong suit and I think I can find it easier to build without one but want opinions.
     
    You don't need one, but it's advised that you take one as it provides an extra level of power and a potential wincon. Also, a lot of teams will be running one, most likely either Mega Kangaskhan, Mega Charizard Y or Mega Salamence. If you still don't want to take one, you'll need a counterplay to the most common megas in the format (and by that regard, the most common picks).
