Question: Are Profile Designs Always Going To Be Limited To Supporters/Staff?

Sorry if this is a rather odd or obvious question, but I want to know.

As selfish as it seems, I don't plan on donating to PokeCommunity. I find giving money through the internet rather dangerous. ...Don't give me that look, I'm just saying what most are thinking -_^ .

If it's not clear on what I mean, just go look at a Staff/Supporters Profile. Most are sporting good looking (rather smexy ;) ) looking designs.

So, my question is: Will there be another way to obtain profile designs?

Like getting 1,000 posts or winning a forum competition or something?

It's okay! I actually didn't donate, and a few others of us didn't, but luckily someone did for us and due to that we were able to get supporter priviledges. If you have a few good friends, maybe one of them might donate for you someday.

Alternatively... there are competitions (one coming up very soon) which do give out supporter tiers as prizes, allowing you to get supporter permissions (which includes profile permissions). This also may possibly occur during a get together, and one is coming up in a few months, so you could also wait for that.

Also, some people are actually able to get good designs without images (my profile has an "okay" design, with the only supporter/staff permission being the larger image), so it's not entirely impossible to get something that looks nice. Just experiment, or as I said, wait for upcoming events.

But getting profile permissions off post count? Yeah, sadly for you, I doubt that's going to happen, because emblems themselves based on postcount (as mentioned in the other thread) get enough debate as it is, without throwing in an actual forum permission in it and I don't think postcount should equate to one supporter permission.

I better not miss this competition, whatever it is. I'll be glued to the forums now until I see it, I just know it.

And another relation question, can you make images your background without profile privileges? Because I was searching for a button and couldn't find one.

Nope, background images on profiles are limited to supporters and staff only, sorry. :(
