2nd Gen argh i hate the game corner

i have 2757 coins in my blue version and i want a porygon. its the most irritating part of the game! any one know the best way to get coins easier or faster

p.s. i restarted my game so i cant sell nuggets

also. how good is porygon in pokemon blue ? i never had him before diamond

I used the Missingno glitch to duplicate Nuggets and sell them for a lot of money. I had more than enough money to buy the coins needed for Porygon. Since you say you can't sell Nuggets, then the only way to get a lot of money is by defeating the Elite Four a lot.

Porygon isn't so great in RBY. All of its stats were pretty mediocre. Even its Special had a base stat of 75 which really isn't that great. Porygon is only good for completing your Pokedex in RBY, not for battling since it can't evolve into anything stronger in the first generation.

I agree, beat the Elite Four a few times and earn the money needed to buy the coins to get a Porygon. Sure it may sound like too much hassle or time, but at the very least your Pokémon will level up a few times and you'll save yourself a lot of aggravation. :P

well it took me bout 4 hours to get 6500 coins and i got him. and he is pretty good he took out erikas pokemon when he was level 21(22?) so it was pretty impressive. considering he was fighting a 29 vileplume.

its not like im wifi battling like in diamond anyway. truly, the first generation is amazing.
