    Ariados@Focus Sash
Brave(Prefered with good attack, bad speed IV-wise)
Not sure which Ability would work better
    Bug Bite
    Poison Jab
    Sucker Punch
    Shadow Sneak/Body Slam/Night Shade/Pusuit/

    Ariados@Salac Berry
Not sure about Nature or Ability
    Substitute
    Agility/Spider Web
    Poison jab/Bug Bite
    Baton Pass

It's an NU(And a bad one at that), I know, but I'm quite fond of it.

It's not like I'm going to use it against OUs or anything, just other NUs and mabye a few of the weaker UUs.

Ariados only has one semi-usable stat which is attack (Base 90) so go with a nature that utilizes that (like Adamant).

As for moveset, uhh....I'm at a loss. I can't see the first set working with Ariados's horrid speed. That being said, you'll probably need Sucker Punch on the second set. Other than that, I can't help much. The only thing I can see him doing is playing an Agility-passer, or a Spider Web-passer (which might actually be pretty cool).

The first set is for Trick Room Teams.

The other is a mediocre NU Baton Passer.

    Dimentio! Hell yeah!

I suppose Swarm. Its getting hit first. Swarm WILL be activated.

    Ariados@ Choice Band
    Nature: Adamant
    EV: 252 Atk / 120 Def/ 128 HP
    -Sucker Punch
    -Shadow Sneak
    -Poison Jab
    -Pursuit

    If you want a sweeper...

    Ariados@ Life Orb/Leftovers
    Nature: Adamant
    EV: 252 Atk / 252 Spd/ 6 HP
    -Sucker Punch
    -Night Shade
    -Poison Jab
    -Agility

Hell yeah. Focus Sash isn't an option. Its a necessity.

Seeing how it's Defenses suck... Is Focus Sash a good option?

Also, I was planning to have the first Ariados used on a Trick Room team.

EDIT: Bleach, is there any way Bug Bite could fit on either of those sets?

Yes..but even with an Salac Berry, Ariados wouldn't be strong enough to be up to sweeper status with the boost of Salac Berry. Agility is an better choice overall.

A good team with Ariados IMO like someone said is a trick room team.

Get a Duskinor with trick room, Id put that as your first pokemon for its high def stats, first move to be used would have to be trick room.

For Ariados iv always wanted to use this pokemon but people always say meh he sucks i wont help you, use a OU pokemon basicly.

So here is something i was thinking

    Ariados with Engima Berry

    Swarm Ability
    Adament
    EV's 200 Atk, 252 HP, 52 def

    Move Pool

    Sucker Punch
    Spider Web
    Bug Bite
Protect "to see what move he is going to use on you assuming you dont have trick room up"

    Or this Maybe

    Sucker Punch
    Baton Pass
    Spider Web
    Toxic

Spider Web, Baton Pass "assuming you are fighting a pokemon your not gonna be able to kill"

Another Good Pokemon for this team is a Fortress, or IMO a Omastar.

I dunno hehe iv always wanted to make a trick room team with anoyying pokemon lol.

Agility IMO is useless for anyone with a speed of 40, youd need to use agility twice to reach speeds higher then most people's pokemon unless they also have slow pokemon by then he would probly be dead. This is why i would use a Dusinor as my first pokemon to keep trick room up as long as he can before he dies.

oh wow! what a surprise. i have also been every fond of ariados since 2nd gen too. i actually use ariados for agilipassing. trouble is that you have to give it a significant amount of speed to outrun threats and safely pass the speed.

the CB set w/ Insomnia could really work too. you could effectively make Gengar useless.

    Really?!?!

I just wanted to use it because I have a senimental attachment to Ariados ^^; I didn't know it could actually do something worthwhile battle-wise.

it could probably do a decent job of getting in a couple OHKO in a battle. i'd consider giving it bug bite perhaps over poison jab or shadow sneak. it could really do some nice damage against a cresselia/tangrowth with a STAB option like that, which is not only impressive, but quite funny to think about.

if you do use him, make sure it has some kind of supportive poke with Twave as an option. after one Suckerpunch, it will be foreseeable and they'll set up, which is why ariados needs to be able to come in later and hit first.

Also, with Bug Bite, those Boost berries will be used on Ariados.

Also, Is Pursuit mabye an option if you predict someone is going to switch and set up?

Lets see... T-Wave Support... Dunsparce? It can T-Wave. And so can Ampharos.

Yes... I'm listing Pokemon I like XD

it's all good, i like them too, and use them. amphoros w/ reflect is awesome -- dunsparce w/ counter is pretty awesome too.

and yes pursuit is a decent option. it's not as decent as suckerpunch, but that's the thing. some people will know that it has suckerpunch and might choose to switch out to prevent that from happening. thing is it doesn't have enough special defense to take STAB hits and having to choose between pursuit and suckerpunch is tough.

if you don't want to have to breed for pursuit, don't bother. suckerpunch will have to do.

I must say, you have an impeccable taste in Pokemon XD

    Yeah... Sucker Punch it is.

True. It would only be really useful against a switching fiend, like my brother. (the only person I can battle right now *points to sig*)
