    So what can I do to make this better? Its all pretty standard movesets, but I'll change anything, including pokemon (cept zangoose, I wuv him).

    Jolteon w/petaya berry
    Timid
    EVs: 255 SpAtk, 255 Spd

    Hidden Power Grass
    Bite

    *yawn*...bite is handy for flinching and does fairly good damage to ghosts and psychics

    So thats it. This team fears paralysis and sleep. But I hate all the heal bellers, so meh

    sidenote: I'm not touching your EVs because in order to learn how they work you have to learn for yourself, the art of EVing isnt something someone can teach you imho

    You know you can put 252 EVs in a stat to max it out and if you max two stats you should have 6 left to use in another stat, just tought I'd let you know.

    Crush claw

    Zangoose is aready fast enough without Quick atack and brick break is better.
     
    Crush Claw is worthless
    use:

    Zangoose@Salac Berry
    - Swords Dance
    - Return/Brick Break
    - Shadow Ball
    - Quick Attack

    Quick Attack is for reversal pokes like heracross
     
    Crusl claw is good for physical damage because it can lower defense.
     
    Crush Claw doesn't really do that much damage overall, and the chance of lowering Defence is only 10%, so it's not worth the effort. If you want a Defence lowering move, Screech is the way to go (and can also act as a pseudohaze).
     
    Jolteon with Bite is kinda useless... It doesn't help against against your one and only weakness. Also, Pokemon that use powerup moves such as Swords Dance or Calm Mind need Lum Berry to pull it off atleast 1 time, unless you have Sync or Rest/Refresh.

    If Zangoose can only have either shadowball or brick break but not both, take shadowball. Why? Well...

    -Pokemon that are weak to shadow ball are typically a lot lower in defense than those who are weak to brick break

    -higher base power will ensure OHKO is the attack hit super-effective for shadow ball, while brick break can hardly score any OHKO

    -having brick break against Skarmory/Steelix will not help too much better either way, but having Shadow ball just dooms Dusclops/Claydol right there and now
