Hello, I've sought out help from the projectpokemon forums already, but I figured I'd poke around some other websites on the offchance there might be more people to seek advice from.
Essentially, I'm attempting to play around with DS assets and add in maps from HGSS into BW2. However, I've tried multiple different ways to accomplish it and it's incredibly difficult. SDSME doesn't have an option to add new maps to the 0/0/8/8, and I'm not sure how to do it myself. Notably, my 0/0/8/8 is not a narc file, and from the research I've done about the way the map files are kept in the game, it seems as if that particular file should? It's just called "file" by Windows. I've run it through programs like crystaltile2 and tinke, and they both are able to unpack it -- however, it gives me a bunch of .bin files, not .nsmbd files, which are the files I know the maps are in. Is something wrong with my dump? should I redump my cart? Or is there something I'm doing wrong here? I want to be able to decompress 0/0/8/8 to add in new .nsmbd files (or rather, "old" ones taken from HGSS) and reseal it back to its original format so that it can be readily edited for polish in SDSME just like the maps already in the files. I plan to script edit warps in so that I can actually reach them later, but I need to have the maps to add warps to in the first place.
Any advice anyone could give me would be an absolute godsend because I'm honestly very stumped right now.
