I watch the anime on & off when there's nothing else on, but this morning I realised they've sent ash back in time to the battle frontier!?
I what to know do you reckon they're gonna go backwards through the series or whether its just because they don't have/can't get the rights to the next season?

    (This is the UK btw)

YEAH i am in the uk too...just watch the latest eps on youtube, they have battle dimension on jetix in the uk...jetix outbid uk cn for it

Oh, you're watching on Freeview? Well, Battle Dimension hasn't finished on Jetix, and Jetix are *not* going to give away a popular series they have not finished, let alone not repeated 1000s of times for fear of losing ratings. Or ITV finishing the series before they do (also ratings).

My guess is Pokemon is getting very good ratings on ITV, so instead of stop showing or continuing to repeat, they decided to buy Battle Frontier, too. I mean, if it was doing badly, they'd have scrapped Pokemon all together. Once Jetix finish Battle Dimension and if ITV still get good ratings for Pokemon, they'll probably buy Battle Dimension as well.

I think this is really good! I've only saw the DP episodes because they where on the telly, and now I get to see older episodes! I only saw a few episodes of Battle Frontier because I found out my TV set had CN Too probably the week before they started showing DP Episodes, so I'll be glad to see it back on :)

    That stupid Jetix has Pokemon?

I lol at this. I really can't believe these disputes happen in the UK. But yeah, most of this is matter of money and ratings.

    Seriously Jetix XD?

Does the word "rerun" mean anything to you? It might just be that you know.

yeah jetix is totally **** and somehow got the rights, in uk pokemon is not hugely popular as it is in japan and us. i think it does have to do with the fact new eps take ever so long to appear.

Battle Frontier has never been on Freeview before

Jetix own Pokemon throughout most of Europe, apparently they've been wanting to get the UK for a while...

I think it is quite popular here, it's just that we obviously don't have the poulation that the US does or the love for anime that Japan does. If it wasn't popular, they wouldn't bother

Speaking of Battle Dimension, what episode is Jetix up to? I was recording it but I stopped when it went to repeats after Dawn vs. Maylene. Has Enter Galactic been on? Or even the Wallace Cup?

Also, I'm quite glad Battle Frontier is on ITV now, the one season I missed because for that time I stopped watching Pokemon. So never ever seen this season, apart from the odd episode on YouTube. :D

    That doesn't mean it's not a rerun.

On an unrelated note: HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

It's never been on ITV/CITV before so it's not a rerun. It's been on Toonami and Cartoon Network but it's only a rerun if they started showing it again. As far as people who watch ITV know it's brand new.

I looked on the Sky website, and it looks like they're continuing the series again at 6pm today. Today is Enter Galectic, tomorrow is Chingling and the day after is Dustox, Tuesday is Raichu ect

Quite surprised at finding The Thief that keeps on Thieving is on on Wednesday at 7am. Will the UK actually take over the American Dub?

    A rerun is:

    Webster's College Dictionary said:
The showing of a motion picture or a television program after its initial bump or showing.

I'm assuming that the episode has already been shown in Britain.

@Dooney: You better hope not. You'll go back to reruns. That's what happened to 4Kids in the 90's and early 2000 era.

Yes, but not on ITV, not on Freeview.

It's like when people say a movie's a network premiere and then it can be classed as a premiere on another channel. That's not classed as a rerun because it's on another channel.

If it already showed on the air in that country and it's just starting to show on another channel it's still a rerun.

In the TV guides it's not counted as a repeat if it's airing on another channel. And people who only have Freeview will not know that it ever aired. lol. Freeview is a digi-box that you make a one off payment for that gives you about 40+ channels from the usual 5. You can only get kids channels (apart from CBBC) from cable or Sky

Looks like they may be airing new episodes weekly? It's rather odd that 6:30pm Wednesday, Thursday and Friday have no info. But the Rangers 2 game comes out next week or the week after, right? Maybe we'll get the Riolu special soon

I didn't know TV Guides were still trusted these days. Anyway, I'm still going with the dictionary on this.

    Off-topic: 5 channels? 40+ channels?

The Radio Times is great, not like cheapy TV mags. The dictionary definition doesn't specify whether it counts on another channel or not, most programmes are only shown on one channel

In Britain you get 5 channels on terrestrial for "free" (you have to pay a TV Licence to the BBC even if you don't watch any channel by them, because they have *no* adverts) The 5 channels are BBC1, BBC2, ITV1, channel 4 and channel 5. Channel 5 only came in about 10 years ago, I rememeber when it did. Well, anyway, if you get Freeview you get about 40+ more channels for paying for the digibox and have no subsiption fee. It has like extra ITV and BBC channels and tons of advert channels and music channels, quite rubbish. Or you can get cable or Sky, which is the same as America where you get 700+ channels depending on the package. So this person has Freeview and not Sky so they never knew Battle Froniter was even on. My package with Virgin Media doesn't have Jetix, so I can't watch battle Dimension on TV blah
