Badge Restrictions For New HMs

So here's where I am: I want to return Whirlpool to it's HM status, mostly because my game'll involve Johto. But how do I add a badge restriction for its use outside of battle?
Can I just add BADGEFORMOVENAME under Settings and be done with it? Or is that specifically looking for the eight listed?

This would work, as long as you also write it as BADGEFORMOVENAME in the code for the HM.
