    Hi, well many people know me on tons of different forums, and while ive been much more succesful in OU then in any other tier, I have always loved the uber tier the most. I laddered quite a bit with this team, peaking at #15 with a CRE of 1679 on one of my alternate accounts. I've really enjoyed using it, and it feels like it can beat tons of pokemon in the uber tier extremely easily. I feel that I can use this team extremely well as well as comfortably. Usually once I hit a high enough number on the leaderboard to feel accomplished, I just let my account drop which has happened once again. I spent quite a while on this team and figured that it was about time to post it after using it for quite a while. This is a stall oriented team and ubers just happens to be one of the tiers where stall is extremely viable especially in this metagame. The uber metagame has to be the most enjoyable one to play at the moment as It's the most solid metagame with nothing extremely broken like some of the changes that were recently put into UU or just the originally extremely broken platinum metagame. Now I present you the team;

It may look pretty standard for an uber stall team, and it is. But it works extremely well so why try extra hard to make a non stanard team? It may have some flaws but overall it seems pretty solid If I can say so myselfh. It basically works by stalling the opponent out just like every stall team, when adding an out of the ordinary member. While most stall teams like this are revolved around CM Giratina-O, mine uses CM kyogre who can sweep very effectively even with a supporting stall team as well as beat down other stall teams by breaking them. Kyogre functions extremely easily and well. I'm open to all decent suggestions from people who have decent knowledge in ubers, but if you make completely idiotic posts telling me to replace one of my members with a completely useless pokemon, you will be flamed. The main way I made this team was by getting a lead that could set up entry hazards and beat other leads at the beginning of the match. Then I put in two very common members of both OU and Uber stall that both function as two important members (a very defensive wall, and a rapid spinner/wall/pokemon that sets up entry hazards). After that I Now that ive introduced the team to you, I'll explain the team in detail.

    Changes
    • Dialga > Jirachi
    • Support Groudon > CMtaunt mewtwo
    • Kyogre > Darkrai as a lead
    • Blissey > Mew
    ____________________________________

    Main Issues
    • The team has problems with opposing heavier stall teams.
    • Groudon as a lead in general, it does fine but I just feel that it could do better.
    • The team handling stuff like bulk up dialga. After a few bulk ups if groudon is gone the team has decent problems. Other set up sweepers like dialga give me problems as well.
    ____________________________________

    Positive Comments about the team
    • Handles most of the uber tier with ease
    • Does very well in this metagame
    • Is extremely fun to play and has had decent success.

    Team building

The team started off with me thinking of what type of team to build just like always. First I was making a LC team, and got like half of it done and just said; "**** this im making an uber team." After getting that done I decided to think about what type of uber team to make. I've already made quite a few offensive teams for the uber tier, and am really starting to get into stall now. I'm trying to make a team in every tier so I thought; "why not make an uber stall team?" Now that I had the main focus of the team done which was stall, I needed something to start the team off with. I just thought of an extremely common pokemon on uber stall teams that can wish pass, wall special attackers, and really wreak havoc in the uber tier overall; especially in stall. Blissey fit that description extremely well and was put in.

    [PokeCommunity.com] Bathroom? Stall. [UBER RMT]

Now I had the first member of the team and an extremely important member to stall which was a healer, status absorber, special wall, and extremely annoying pokemon all in one. Blissey's main weak point is her defense, which can be covered by one pokemon that is also very commonly seen in uber stall teams or just uber teams in general. I also realized I needed a rapid spinner to get **** like toxic spikes, spikes, and stealth rock out of the way for my team which is extremely nessecary on a stall team. The pokemon I picked could also set up entry hazards which just happens to be almost 100% needed on an uber team. Forretress was my choice and was put in.

After having those two members It looked like I had an extremely solid core for a stall team as well as two amazing members that fit on any good uber stall team. To be honest I wasn't too sure on what to do next but After getting a solid core on a team I usually try to pick a lead. It may seem like an odd process but surprisingly it works well. I wanted a lead that could succesfully beat at least one or two other common leads. I really like using leads that survive til lategame almost 90% of the time and the lead I picked succesfully did all of the things I mentioned. If it's not obvious enough the lead I picked was Kyogre who happens to be a very good lead that I've used on other Uber teams before, It can t-wave opposing leads as well as cause a lot of damage and usually survive til lategame being able to check threats to my team.

Now I had a lead, and a solid core. The team needed 3 more members and the next choice was so obvious I almost felt stupid for not seeing it easier then I did. This choice actually took me a while despite how obvious it was, and despite how important this member is to the team. Every stall team needs a spin blocker as well as something to possibly spread status and wall many pokemon. The best wall in the uber tier happens to be Altered forme Giratina as with all of the resistances it carries, It's movepool, Decent defenses, and good typing, it does its job extremely well. Well if it's not obvious enough, my choice for this spot was Giratina.

Now I had a spin blocker, Lead, and a core. I realized my team was weak to Lucario. After deciding for a while I came up with the idea of using CMtaunt mewtwo to defeat opposing stall as well as set up easily and sweep. While mewtwo seemed to do very well It just didn't really fit. After lots of changing of the other members on the team shown in the change log, I realized a support groudon could work very well on my team, as it gives me a support unit, a good wall, and a good pokemon to check many different threats.

Finally the last member of the team. This choice was extremely hard and changed multiple times. Before I had blissey this spot belonged to a Wish passing Jirachi who I had actually never used in Uber and once I did, It didn't work as well as I had hoped it would. Before Jirachi the spot belonged to a Scarfogre when I had Something else in the CMkyogre spot. After a lot of thinking and testing I realized I needed a bulky steel type other then forry that could succesfully keep the team together by checking stuff like SDray who I had a giant weakness to, as well as Darkrai who the team was weak to. ScarfDialga fit in extremely well so was put into that spot and the team was finally complete after a lot of thinking.

    Kyogre @ Lum Berry
    Ability: Drizzle
    EVs: 252 HP | 4 Def | 252 SpA
Nature: Modest (+ Sp atk, - Atk)
    • Surf
    • Thunder wave
    • Ice beam
    • Thunder

Kyogre lead is actually great. I had only used it in like one other team before and it's surprised me so much. It manages to take out tons of other leads including stuff like deoxys-e and groudon who are both extremely common. Kyogre helps me check groudon in specific as well as just anything weak to surf/ice beam/thunder that kyogre can take hits from. Kyogre is just a beast overall having decent base stats for defense/hp/sp def and hits extremely hard with its high base sp atk and 252 sp atk evs. Drizzle boosting an already high powered STAB surf is just unbelieveable as with it kyogre hits like a tank. Thunder/Ice beam is there for a sort of boltbeam combo which has amazing coverage especially with a high powered boosted surf there with it. T-wave helps spread paralysis and helps kyogre beat other leads by paralyzing them and then easily taking them down with a surf / thunder / Ice beam. I like using Kyogre lead as 90% of the time it survives lategame which is extremely helpful since kyogre can help me check extremely annoying stuff like groudon lategame. Lum berry can help kyogre bluff a scarf as well as helps kyogre take opposing t-waves/toxics/whatever else. A lot of people run anti lead kyogre who runs scarf/specs so t-wave lum bulkyogre is a nice change.

Overall kyogre is a great lead having nice synergy with the rest of the team. 252 HP gives kyogre great bulk on both sides and 252 sp atk is there for maximum damage dealing capability. 4 Def is filler and there was nothing else to put it in. Kyogre does its job very well as a lead and a good job lategame since it usually survives.

    Blissey @ Leftovers
    Ability: Natural cure
    EVs: 216 Sp Def | 80 HP | 214 Def
Nature: Calm (+ Sp def, - Atk)
    • Seismic Toss
    • Wish
    • Protect
    • Toxic

Blissey is so great in uber teams especially on stall teams. Blissey happens to be one of those pokemon that make an extremely solid core for stall especially in ubers. I chose natural Cure over Serene grace as I'm not actually using any special elemental attacks, and Natural cure is great for absorbing statuses which fly around a lot in ubers. Seismic toss is preferred over a special attacking move with toxic as ghosts who wall it with seismic toss are stalled away by toxic/protect/wish. I moved the 80 Sp atk into HP for obvious reasons stated above as well as being a lefties point and that is the other most reliable stat i could've moved the evs into. Wish/Protect is preferred over Softboiled on this team as I can use her for passing wishes, and for stalling easier with protect/wish/toxic/seismic toss. Blissey is another one of those "ahh i hate using that thing so much" pokemon; but blissey pretty much makes this team way better then it is without it. Wish is also preferred over Softboiled for how many choice users you see in today's metagame. You can easily predict with protect for example; say something was going to pursuit, you could instead wish and take a base 40 power pursuit instead of taking a double boosted one. Most people usually use a cleric in ubers but wish just goes so well with other members on the team that i had to use it. This is also my main kyogre check.

216 Sp def was put over 176 as there are so many tank special attackers i shouldve really boosted sp def higher. 214 Def is filler and is as much that is needed in ubers. 80 HP is for maximum lefties recovery as well as a nice number for the HP stat. Blissey helps my team out a lot taking special hits and stalling stuff extremely well.

    Giratina @ Leftovers
    Ability: Pressure
    EVs: 248 HP | 248 Def | 12 Spe
Nature: Impish (+ Def, - Sp atk)
    • Will O Wisp
    • Dragon Claw
    • Rest
    • Sleep Talk

Giratina is an extremely important member to the team. Almost every team needs a spin blocker, as well as a wall with good resistances. Giratina just happens to be both. Giratina is arguably one of the best physical walls in the game. With colossal base 150 HP and massive base 120 Defense, Giratina defiantly stands in the faces of powerful physical sweepers such as Metagross and Groudon, blocking their paths to victory. As they unleash their most powerful attacks, it seems that there is no possibility that Giratina could survive. However, to the opponent's disbelief, Giratina stands alive with over half of its health. Giratina can wall things amazing especially physical sweepers after they get Will o Wisp'd. Sleeptalk lets giratina easily heal up and absorb status. Dragon claw is the only actual attacking move that gets STAB on this set and despite the lack of attack evs still does some decent damage. With the right support from the team annoying stuff like mewtwo that would normally beat giratina can then be beaten so giratina is free to wall most of the uber metagame. Giratina walls physical attackers, such as Groudon, Scizor, Metagross, Heracross, some Tyranitar, and physical versions of Ho-oh almost effortlessly, so sweepers who normally have trouble with these threats make good offensive teammates for Giratina.

The evs spread the hp and defense out evenly giving giratina extremely good bulk, especially on both sides having even defense/sp def base stats with 248 HP. 12 Spe is for outspeeding other giratina that run less then 12 spe IIRC.

    Dialga @ Choice Scarf
    Ability: Pressure
    EVs: 6 Atk | 252 Spe | 252 Sp atk
Nature: Hasty (+ Spe, - Def)
    • Draco Meteor
    • Outrage
    • Fire blast
    • Thunder

Although Dialga is often seen as a slow, sturdy tank, Choice Scarf can make it an excellent revenge killer in the Uber metagame. Thanks to Dialga's Steel-typing and good defenses, it can easily switch into Darkrai as it uses Dark Pulse, and OHKO with Draco Meteor. Choice Scarf Dialga is also one of the few reliable revenge killers for both Swords Dance Rayquaza and Swords Dance Lucario, thanks to its resistance to ExtremeSpeed. I vouched for hasty with outrage so i can revenge kill blissey and latias. With dialgas decent 306 spe with 252 evs/+spe nature and a scarf it can outspeed many uber threats and take them out with it's amazing movepool and base 150 sp atk. Fire blast is there for scizor/skarmory/foretress who get hit harder by it then thunder. Choice Scarf Dialga, while being fast, is still outsped by other Choice Scarf users such as Garchomp and Darkrai which is why i ran other pokemon on the team who can take them out.

252 Sp atk / 252 spe are standard and take advantage of dialga's amazing revenge killing abilities in uber as well as checking things like SD quaza who my team was weak to before. I can consider running Naive which might be better for taking e-speeds easier and still taking resisted sp atks easy with his great sp def. Dialga does his job extremely well taking out most threats to my team that hes here for. Dialga is my main check for lucario and checks him very nicely.

    Forretress @ Leftovers
    Ability: Sturdy
    EVs: 252 Sp def | 252 HP | 6 Def
Nature: Sassy (+ Sp def, - Spe)
    • Payback
    • Spikes
    • Rapid spin
    • Gyro ball/Toxic spikes

Forry is my main dragon resist as well as physical wall. Forry helps spin away entry hazards from opposing teams as well as lets me set up spikes which can be extremely helpful. Specially defensive forretress is great and does its job very well. Stealth rock is set up by groudon who reliably sets it up so only spikes is needed on forretress. Forretress unlike blissey can do some decent damage so it doesn't need something like toxic in order to stall. If i can manage to get around 2-3 layers of spikes up and my opponent has no rapid spinner, they'll be in big trouble every time they switch something in thats hit by spikes. Forry does its job as a rapid spinner extremely well as it's incredibly bulky and manages to switch in on a ton of things and set up entry hazards/cause some damage. Almost every uber stall team runs a forretress as it spins/sets up entry hazards and walls things extremely well. A 0 spe iv is always used so that gyro ball is powered up with a sassy nature that drops speed. Payback is extremely common on forretress in ubers with all of the psychic/ghost types going around especially with forretress' being extremely slow it almost always hits second.

252 Sp def is there to maximize forretress' special defense walling capabilities and helps forry wall stuff on both sides with his already amazing defense. 252 HP is a leftovers point and gives forry bulk. 6 Def is filler.

    ---

    [PokeCommunity.com] Bathroom? Stall. [UBER RMT]

    Groudon @ Leftovers
    Ability: Drought
    EVs: 252 HP | 60 Atk | 136 Def | 60 SpD
Nature: Impish (+ Def, - Sp atk)
    • Stealth Rock
    • Earthquake
    • Dragon Claw
    • Roar

Groudon, while commonly seen as a dominating physical sweeper, can also play the part of support, hindering the walls that usually stop it. With access to fantastic utility moves such as Stealth Rock, sturdy defenses and massive Hit Points, Groudon can survive a wide variety of hits while setting up. Groudon can work extremely well as a support unit and a phazer in the uber tier. Stealth rock is great to have on a stall team hitting ho oh for 50% and most flying ubers for around 25%. EQ hits things hard even with barely any attack evs, as it gets STAB and groudon's attack stat is massive even without attack evs. Dragon claw is for hitting stuff like garchomp/giratina. Groudon is an extremely important member on my team checking stuff like DD rayquaza taking +1 outrages and checking lucario as it can take a +2 close combat from adamant lucario after spikes damage and OHKO back with EQ. Dragon/Ground gives phenomenal type coverage in Ubers, hitting almost everything for at least neutral.

The atk evs allow groudon to 2HKO almost all garchomp, while garchomp will not be able to 2HKO groudon with leftovers. The defense evs help groudon not be OHKOd by a +2 adamant close combat from lucario. It can even survive the close combat with life orb+spikes damage included in. The hp evs give groudon good bulk overall.

    Conclusion

This team has worked extremely well showing through my results and how the team looks/functions overall. It handles most stuff in the uber metagame and is extremely fun to use. It looks a bit like Jibaku's Archived stall team on smogon, but most uber stall teams look alike and mine is actually much different. Please post only if you have something helpful to suggest.
