I'm about to beat the Elite 4 in Pearl, and besides making sure to go fill in the rest of my dex, the next thing I want to do is breed and train a Battle Tower team so that I can obtain the training items and TMs and stuff. I need a suggestion on a physical sweeper to fit in with these two pokemon:
Starmie @ Wise Glasses
Natural Cure
Modest/Timid (I figure for the Battle Tower it won't really matter which one)
252 Sp Atk/252 Spd/6 HP
Surf
Thunderbolt
Ice Beam
Energy Ball/Psychic
Wonderful coverage. Choosing between Psychic and Energy Ball depends on my third sweeper, though I'll likely go with Energy Ball because not many physical sweepers use Grass and I'd otherwise be lacking a Grass move for Quagsire and the like.
Umbreon @ Leftovers
Sychronize
Bold
252 HP/152 Def/106 Sp Def
Toxic
Dark Pulse
Confuse Ray/Double Team
Wish/Moonlight
I can either violate evasion clause and just not use this guy for competitive (Toxistallers aren't very good anyway), or run Confuse Ray and have him viable for comeptitive. Has very good defenses (EVs and nature make them equal) and since the computer rarely switches out, Toxistalling works well. I get screwed by Steels, but what Umbreon doesn't?
Here was my idea for a third pokemon and physical sweeper, but I feel like I could do better.
Flygon @ ??? (something easily obtainable; I wanted Yache Berry but I don't think I can get that easily)
Levitate
Jolly/Adamant
252 Atk/252 Spd/6 HP
Earthquake
Stone Edge
U-turn
Aerial Ace
Gives me coverage on a lot of things that Starmie doesn't, and also gives me resists that I don't have (notably Bug). Aerial Ace can also be used against those stupid Double Teamers.
So, basically, my first 2 pokemon are set (except for questions on some moves), but I really need advice on a physical sweeper that will counter the weaknesses in the other 2 well.
