I just started planting some berries yesterday and i was wondering if any of you plant berries and use mulch too.

I used to plant berries awhile back but I just got tired of traveling around the region checking what needs to be watered in order to stay alive. I eventually started using less berry patches until giving it up entirely. The only berry planting I do is in Heart Gold thanks to that portable Berry Planter.

Over the summer I went on a berry planting frenzy, using the patches in and around Pastoria City. I found it's a lot easier to do it using a few patches in one area rather than have them scattered all over the place. I usually don't deal with mulch; I just let them grow naturally.

Yup sure do. Well I did when I was crazy for Platinum and I was playin it with no sleep. I planted all types of stuffs all over the place and especially cheri berries. and then I had like so many of each. Then I got bored. :t109:

I used to be obsessed with the Berry Master's patch in Sapphire. I don't care for berries anymore, and I actually get mad when I find them as a hidden item or when my mom gets them for me in SoulSilver. And mulch? That's a step too far for me. I like GSC's idea of having them grow back in a day without your maintenance.

    Insert random filler here.

Some years ago, i used to grow a lot of Berrys, but now i'm just picking them up, and almost never use them. But i might have to plant some Leppa Berries on my Geodude run on Pearl, PP are already a problem when fighting the Elite 4 with a good Pokemon.

Last time I played Pokemon Diamond, I DID plant berries and at times also used mulch.

Not really. I never caught on to the berry thing. Although, I like to grow some Leppa berries once in a while ever since I found out about their magical property. I don't buy mulch at all.

xD Sometimes I'll plant some and forget about them. But right before I fought the Elite Four in Platinum, I got a metric ton of mulch and planted Leppa Berries with growth mulch in about 40 spots.
I still have somewhere around 200 of them. I attach them to Pokémon that I trade, if no specific item is requested; I think it's just a nice thing to do. Spread the Leppa Berry love. Definitely the most needed berry in a trainer's pack. (Well, either Leppa Berries or Lum Berries, and I don't have many Lum Berries. I could get more, though.)

The only berries I really plant are the EV reducing, Leppa, and Sitrus berries.
