I need to know what is the best Ghost type Pokemon, so I could EV train it. And don't not vote, cause I want to count the votes.

It's completely dependant on what you want the ghost to do- It's impossible to properly compare a gengar and a dusknoir because their roles are so different. So what will your ghost be assigned with doing?

I like Gastly best, but he's not on there :\

Gengar, Poison Love must be shown.

Well, we sort of need to know what team you're planning on building, if any. We can't just pick the best ghost type Pokemon without knowing your standards.

Do you want a status inflicter? Wall? Sweeper?

It depends on what you want. Like El Gofre said, they each have different roles.

For defenses I think Dusknoir, but Spiritomb is more balanced and has many inmunities and resistances...
Gengar for quick and strong attacks, special sweeper, also has some really annoying moves.ç
Mismagius is more balanced: great sp. atack, not as quick as gengar but better defenses and being only ghost gives mismagius better type.

Depends on your style. I personally like quick and strong pokmon so gengar is my choice.

Although it's really up to what you want, I would say Rotom, used him on my run through on Platinum and I loved him. Like his dual type, and loved his speed/sp attack, and moveset. Just me I love my Rotom to death and thought he was great and would highly recommend him.

I strongly like Gengar the best, because of his ability to levitate and his fast speed and strong special attack. Adding on to that, he has a great variety of attacks and his spriting looks genuine.

The Rotom forms would have came in second, but sadly when on WiFi, Rotom cannot take in any forme but the original orange bolt.

can i say something the best Ghost pokemon depends on the stats of the pokemon and who your vsing so Gengar isnt always the best and Dusknoir isnt always the best cuz theres always a pokemon that can beat it so think about the opponents pokemon before picking your Ghost pokemon ok cuz you might pick a Low Defence Ghost when ur opponents pokemon has High Attack or your might pick a Low Attack Ghost when your opponent has High Defence i always think carefully before picking thats jsut my opinion you dont have to agree to it but im just pointing it out

The original Ghost Pokemon of course - Gengar. He's always been my favorite Ghost / Poison type Pokemon and he'll always be.

I like Shedinja the best. It is only hurt by its weakness, and nothing else.
So, Froslass is a ghost type? That's why my Machop didn't stand a chance... LOL
P.S. I love the way Gengar smiles... Oh wait, Gengar really is smiling! :)

Gengar and Froslass for assault. Very good at it but very low defenses. One hit Meteor Mash, KO!

Misdreavus and Mismagius are balanced. They can be used in a variety of ways: trapper, supporter and annoyer.

Duskull, Dusclops and Dusknoir are wallers. Very high defenses and can be used as a trapper and annoyer at the same time.

Giratina is Uber! All stats are pretty mean and used mainly for tank.

Giratina's my favorite, the classic creepy style and such.

I like Shedinja the best. It is only hurt by its weakness, and nothing else.

    As well as...

    Stealth Rock
    Sandstorm
    Hail
    Burn
    Poision
    Leech Seed
    Future Sight
    Bide
    Doom Desire

Things don't look so promising anymore...

    Life orb recoil
    Hitting itself due to confusion
    Spikes
    Struggle and Struggle recoil
    Aftermath
    Ghost - Curse
Absorbing health against Tentacool and Tentacruel with Liquid Ooze
    Double-Edge recoil
    Destiny Bond
    Nightmare
    Mold Breaker-attacks
    Perish Song
    Rough Skin

.. And I think that's it. Quite a lot after all?

    Wow, Wonderguard really sucks.

Anyway, if you really just want to know what we think is the best ghost type, I would say Gengar. His stats are rather balanced out with the right nature, and his special attack is great.

If you want a wall, Dusclops or something of the sort would be good. But it's really up to what you want. ^_^

Shedninja is definaitly stoppable, it has the most weaknesses out of like every type combination, and that long list of things that own it. I'd say Gengar or Rotom. I'd say Rotom becuase Rotom-H is the best counter/check for Scizor, can trick a scarf onto walls like Blissey and still hurt things.

Ghost/Bug is weak to Rock, Fire, Dark, Flying, and Ghost. That is 5.

Grass by itself is weak to Fire, Flying, Ice, Bug, and Poison. Still 5.

Rock by itself is weak to Fighting, Steel, Ground, Water, and Grass. 5 here too.

Bug/Flying is weak to Rock, Fire, Electric, Ice, and Flying. Same thing.

Rock/Water is weak to Grass, Fighting, Ground, Electric, but I'd say that is actually worse, due to the sheer usage of Earthquake, Close Combat, and even Grass Knot. But still, that's 4.

Ghost/Ice is weak to Rock, Ghost, Dark, Fire, and Steel. Yet another 5.

Ice/Ground is weak to Steel, Fire, Grass, Water, and Fighting..

Ice/Psychic is weak to Dark, Steel, Fire, Ghost, Bug, and Rock. That is 6! Wow.

Grass/Psychic is weak to Fire, Dark, Flying, Ice, Poison, Ghost and Bug. 7. Sucks to be you, Celebi.

Grass/Ice is weak to Fire, Flying, Poison, Bug, Fighting, Rock, and Steel.
(Not that that should matter anyways, because Obamasnow vs Shedinja = Hail KO unless it's a BP Shedinja.)

Bah, I'm tired of writing, but there are other, worse combos out there than Shedinja's, so silence :P
