1st Gen Beta Pokémon Blue (Japanese) Sprites

So I was looking around Gen 1 beta stuff, and this image looked pretty interesting to me. It's a 1996 Corocoro scan of sprites that were planned for the Japanese Pokemon Blue. Notice how some of them are very distinctly different from what we saw in the final releases.

Some of the most notable ones are the Raticate, Rhydon, Ditto, Dragonair and Mewtwo sprites. Do you think some of these beta sprites are better than the final versions? (I really like the Ditto and Dragonair!)

Very interesting . . . my favourites are Ditto and Slowbro, I think that they are better in this version than in the official game
(especially Ditto because it's like "molten")
