You don't know from where a function is called? Use this highly optimized tool to find all references. (Optimized means it takes 0.01 seconds instead of 1 ^^)

    Code:
    C:\Users\david\Desktop\romhacking>[B]bl.exe firered.gba[/B]
    > [B]08083444[/B]
    0805cdfe: bl
    08062f40: bl
    08062fbc: bl
    08066932: bl
    08066956: bl
    0806697a: bl
    0806699e: bl
    080669c2: bl

Well, what exactly is this tool for? I see no comments, so I'm guessing nobody else knows either? Even after this thread is over a month old.

It's for locating the initial routine that another routine was called from. If the game uses the branch-and-link instruction ("bl"), the game "calls" another routine. However, often there's nothing in the called routine that says where it was called from. It can be a pain to find where a routine is called from but this tool, from what I can tell, searches through the ROM and finds all the places where the called routine is called from.
