    I'm trying to put together the most complete list possible of the various pirate "versions" that have showed up in cart form. There are all the ones I've found so far... are there others, and could anyone supply a picture of any others?

    * Arcoiris Version (Rainbow)
    * Blue Diamond Version (pretty sure this is a Pokemon variant)
    * BlueSea Version
    * ChaosBlack Version
    * CrystalShards Version - CART/BOX PICTURE NEEDED!
    * DarkCry Version
    * Diamond Version (bootleg Telefang Power)
    * Frigo Returns (not a 'version', but same thing - GBA Pokemon variant)
    * Green Diamond Version (not sure if this is a Pokemon variant or a hack...)
    * Jade Version (bootleg Telefang Speed)
    * Naranja Version (Orange... despite the green box art)
    * Perla Version (Pearl, for GBA)
    * Quartz Version
    * ShinyGold Version

    Note the absence of those numbered ones - "Ruby Version 3", "Gold Version 2", etc. I don't know what these are, but they seem to be either a) slightly changed and insignificant variations on official games, or b) as in the case of "Gold Version 2", a hack of an unrelated game.

    Shiny gold,Quartz, and naranja are hacks if you didn't know. The ones on cartriges are only made by selfish bastards who want to make a quick buck

    :O ChaosBlack, what a game! My brother bought it, even after i reminded him its a complete hack, he cried when he got stuck at the first cave :)

    I made an image of all of the different box arts I could find. It includes one listed just as "Crystal Version"

    Hope that helps,

    Yeah, I know they're just hacks.

    As for that picture, those seem to be the only ones I can find too... I can't find any box or cartridge art for the supposed "Crystal Shards Version" at all.

    According to the Serebii.net forums, Green Diamond Version is just a hack of some GBA-ported NES game. They replaced the main character with Clefairy.

    There's a YouTube video, however, of someone playing what I'm assuming is a Blue Diamond ROM and it's a Pokemon variant... but they won't send it to me!!!

    Yeh but I thinx it is beta 4 instead of 5

    I dunno what the deal with the YouTube video is, but according to another Pokemon forum, "Blue Diamond" is just some weird platform game with Mario jumping on Pikachus.

    The person claimed to once have it as a ROM, but I can't find anything like that...

    Got some more info on "Green Diamond"...

    Apparently it's just a poor GBA port (with bad aspect ratio) of the pirated NES game "Pokemon Green", which is a platform game hack featuring a green Clefairy. That one's pretty easy to find, but not the GBA version unfortunately.

    I own a 5 in 1 game pak which has Japanese Gold, Japanese Silver, Red, Blue and Yellow.

    do illegal games (they are illegal right?) actualy work?

    The games when you find them on E-Bay are illegal and they may work. I am not sure about the legality of putting a ROM Hack on a blank GBA cartridge for personal use only.
