Hi! I wanted to breed two different pokemon on the same egg group to pass down moves.

Lets say i want pokemon Y to learn a move that only X can learn or pass on breeding.

    I breed pokemon X and Y.

I want the babe to be X and not Y. Is there any way to give a pokemon parent an item or something so the egg will hatch to that pokemon only? Or am i forced to gamble on what pokemon that comes out of the egg?

I think in older games, the female parent passed down the move, i dont know if i was lucky but i always got the same pokemon as the female parent and not the male.

    Is it the same now?

    Thanks in advance.

Either pokemon can pass down the moves I believe but the pokemon you want must be the female.
