Welcome to the "Breeding Mutation" Project~
Weird name, I know, but it suits it. The main goal of this project is not just to fuse Pokemon together (and even at that, there ARE rules and restrictions on the spriting technique(s) you need to use), but to fuse Pokemon evolution lines which are in the same egg group. Now, mix lines, as some of you may have heard them as (some...), are something that I'm unsure of when it comes to if half of us has heard of and/or done this kinda thing before.
You know how Bulbasaur evolves into Ivysaur, and Ivysaur evolves into Venusaur, right? Of course you do, lulz~ :F
Works the same way with fusion evolution lines. Say you're combining Charmander's evo line with Whismur's. It works out in the following way: Charmander x Whismur > Charmeleon x Loudred > Charizard x Exploud; which is basically the same as the original Pokemons' evo lines, only incorporating two Pokemon at once. Yes, I know some of you are highly aware of just what this is, but to those of you that don't, read carefully.
Now, say for instace you wanna mix Bulbasaur's evo line with Paras' (3 v. 2); only one problem: they're uneven, pretty much meaning that one has less evolution stages than the other. You, the creator, MUST think up a loophole for this, just as long as it still transitions well, whether you skip Ivysaur's stage (not quite recommended as much), mix both Paras AND Parasect's attributes along with the base Pokemon, Ivysaur (which really isn't a bad idea, not at all), or carry on the sub Pokemon, Paras, to Ivysaur, and incorporate Parasect only when the base is Venusaur.
Now, vice versa (2 v. 3) is just a bit different. Using the same example, you're tryin' to mix Paras (the base/host) with Bulbasaur (the sub). You have the option to skip the Ivysaur stage, mix a bit of both Bulbasaur AND Ivysaur with Paras (note that it's only in this and the case above in which you're allowed to incorporate more than TWO Pokemon), or you think of something.
Now, like stated, this is one of those "What If" scenarios. Just think "What if two Pokemon in the daycare laid an egg and the baby got all mutated, so that it looked like you just smooshed them into each other?" (not literally "smooshed", btw...) I guess you could say that the female Pokemon is = to the base Pokemon, and, yeah, the male is = to the sub 'mon.
Remember: they HAVE to be in the same egg group, and Ditto can go into any group (yes, I'm even including Ditto mutations in this). Won't be much of a problem though, 'cause I'm only posting up one egg group at a time. until that one's finished, we won't start on the next sets, which MAY take quite a while.

~Status~
Currently open. I'll update this as I need to close and re-open and whatnot. If I'm leaving or am gonna be abnormally inactive, I'll let ya know that, too~ ^.~
~Oh, and I must also mention that I... have a life, too, so there are certain times of most days (usually weekdays) that I'm gone. I come home from school at the same time each day, though.
- On Mondays, I usually have from an hour & a half up to two hours of free time. (Not saying that ALL my free time will go into sitting my bum on the couch and doing this, I'll just get most of the entries in for the day.) I go to TKD from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.
- On Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays I go to TKD from 6:30 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
- & I got to TKD from 5:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. on Thursdays.
Okay, so there's the concept of what I gots t'do every week. Note that some days will be subject to change, depends on... a lotta stuff.​

~Basic Rules~
1. Please, no spamming and/or flaming. If this topic gets out of control, I'll have to warn/report the users involved.
2. If you'd like to use anything made by anyone in this thread, PLEASE get permission and PLEASE give credit, unless the author happens to prefer otherwise. Any thievery WILL be reported. Got it memorized? *slapp'd*
3. Upload the file onto an image hoster- it can be anything, just as long as it's not the forum's default image uploader so I can copy and paste the link.

4. This isn't just a project that overlooks the quality and basically just takes anything in. I'll actually evaluate the entry(s) and ask you to try to fix any problems I may see.

5. Now, if I'm gone for a while or this just floods overnight or some scenario like that where the thread is just filled with entries for another page (don't worry, I'll try not to let that happen xD) and two people mistakingly (or not quite so mistakingly) post up the same Pokemon mutation, if one is obviously/drastically better than the other, I'm most likely to take that one in. If something that I see is wrong with it, though, I'll evaluate both entries, but still am most likely to pick the best. If both are at similar quality, I'll just try to post up the first one.​

6. Generally, all of the board rules... and of course, common sense, if y'have any. >_>;​

7. Along with the sprite, you must think up a good name, and a reasonable set of type(s) for the new lil' freak (XD).​

8. Anyways, in this, it's not just C+P'ing the two Pokemons' attributes (in fact, you're not allowed even edit, unless using the edit for a reference FOR the final version) together to form one big clump. Well, actually, partly it is a bit of that, but for some parts, mix them together from each Pokemon to make things somewhere near 50/50. Not exactly enforced quite so much, but just use yer head, and creativity~! ;3 You can use either Pokemon's colors, or incorporate both 'mons' pallete(s).​

9. NO. EDITS. Customs are veryveryveryveryveryveryvery highly recommended; you CAN also edit, but no C+P'ing, and make sure it's of GOOD quality. I'm not looking for "t3h pwness" quality, but yeah. I don't recommend this if you're new to pixel art/art in general, but you can feel free to try. Remember: if you're unsure of an entry but still want me to help out so that it can possibly BE entered, you're more than welcome to post it up.​

~Reservations~
ONE LINE PER PERSON AT A TIME. Pretty simple, if you ask me. Oh, and you have about two or so weeks to finish; after that time frame, your reservation will be invalid.​

I don't recommend this if you're new to pixel art/art in general, but you can feel free to try. Remember: if you're unsure of an entry but still want me to help out so that it can possibly BE entered, you're more than welcome to post it up.

Those are a few pretty good concepts, though, just if you'd like to edit, make sure to "scratch edit" and not copy and paste.
Pupileaf's eyes also look a little misplaced, but I like how it seems as if the petals act as wings on Tyraniganium.

Try just to fix those few things for now, and I'll see what I can tell you after. ^^
