Breeding :/

Hi I'm new to the forums here so I don't know if this is the right section or not. Anyway... I have a Japanese ditto and would like to breed it with my Charizard. To increase the chances to like 1/2089 or whatever, do both the pokemon need to be foreign? Or can my Charizard be english and my ditto be Japanese and I still get the increased chances of a shiny pokemon?

it has to be only one foreign pokemon in order for it to work.
so yes ur chances for a shiny charmander is 4 times better

Oh alright thanks :). Now I can finally go back to breeding. I hope i get my shiny

What Eurydice said. Please use the Q&A thread next time, preferably for the game you're playing this on. You didn't really mention which game this is for, but I'm going to assume it's for DPPt or HGSS since getting a Japanese Ditto any time before the DS generation is slim. :P Good luck on your shiny!
