It's actually really interesting looking at Facebook. Friends that have nothing to do with Pokemon at all are liking posts related to it, local news reporting sites are mentioning it, like this is all over my feed. It gets me thinking how this has really brought Pokemon back to the forefront of everyone's minds. Releasing Pokemon Go has made headlines EVERYWHERE and there's probably not a person using social media that doesn't know about this game or read about it (or considered trying it) which is amazing. You have Pokemon Shuffle which is huge but has nowhere near the interest to force former fans back into the game. It's exciting when you think about it - people who grew up on Pokemon, lived their lives and forgot about it are suddenly getting into it again.
Guys we're not the nerds anymore. The world is finally going to know that Pokemon is cool. So, with that said:
As a side note it makes me happy when it's on my feed. That and what a great move to only have original 151 Pokemon, having all the Pokemon will bring a disconnect between older and newer players (all of us following Pokemon would love it but it would alienate the older players it brings back). This game was really for those that forgot about Pokemon more than anything imo. It's also exciting that local gyms are already claimed. Makes me have faith in the future of Pokemon. I'm glad we've all stuck through and to finally get to the point where Pokemon might make a resurgence and more people will appreciate how far it's come. It's awesome.

- Has Pokemon Go encouraged you to discuss Pokemon with friends you wouldn't have considered otherwise talking to about Pokemon?
- Have any of your friends gotten into Pokemon outside of the Pokemon fanbase (like people who haven't played it for YEARS).
- Where do you think this is heading? Marketing-wise is this going to boost Sun and Moon through the roof (with older fans now returning to their Pokemon roots)?
