Brock team I thought of just now, for fun only but I'd like to make it as competitive as possible, so please help. I actually want swampert in there somewhere. I wanted it over Forretress but I needed a support pokemon with rapid spin, and even better, reflect. The earthquake weak is a problem even though steelix does have stellar defense.

I don't know much about 4th gen but my suggestions are to use ludicolo as an annoyer but I don't know since i don't know what energy ball and focus blast do. Blissey looks fine. Forretress looks good too. It looks pretty good based on what I know (which isn't that much)

Probably here you might wanna try using iron tail because of stab

Taking hypnosis off of her and probably giving her something else like maybe darkpulse as another special attack to compliment nasty plot.

No you dont want synthesis on this set. Reason for this is because he already has raindish and you probably should use raindance with this set.

fine even though i hate that puffball with a passion. I dont like your EV's though. You probably should put a little more in spdef

    There you go....Hope that helps

Nightofshadow, what point is there in giving Ludicolo Rain Dance in a team where it's of more harm than use to the user itself? Ninetales and Steelix both suffer from Rain Dance and Forretress doesn't like Rain Danced Water moves, either. Seriously, if you're going to use any weather move, the whole team has to be based around it, otherwise it'll be more of a hindrance than an aid.

Confuse Ray relies completely on luck and if your opponent doesn't happen to hit itself the same turn you use Confuse Ray, Crobat will most likely go down. And since you seem to want an offensive Crobat anyway, you might consider:

    Crobat @ Choice Band/Life Orb
    Adamant/Jolly Nature
    EVs: 252 Attack, 252 Speed, 4 HP

    - Cross Poison
    - Brave Bird
    - U-turn
    - Pursuit

    Steelix@leftovers
    Rock Head
    Relaxed
252hp, rest in Attack and Defense
    -earthquake
    -iron tail/Double Edge
    -stealth rock
    -roar

Gyro Ball is cooler than Iron Tail or Double-Edge due to Steelix's abysmal Speed. Relaxed to even further power Gyro Ball.

I think you might want to put the EVs in Ninetales's good Sp.Defense rather than its mediocre Defense.

Your team is pretty balanced. I don't see any obvious extremely common weaknesses and your team is capable of countering most common threats. (although Tyranitar might be a problem once Steelix is out of the way, same goes for Garchomp. Swampert, that you've already mentioned, would take care of both.

Maybe to help deal with tyranitar???? Sounds like a plan to me =\

You've already got Synthesis to recover, Synthesis and Rain Dance don't work, but its better than nothing. Besides, you want to put Ludicolo's Special Attack into good use.

    252 ATK/ 252 SP. DEF/ 4 HP

Toxic Spikes inflict damage every turn instead of only switching out, Swagger to force switches, Rapid Spin is gone because after you're done with everything else, you have nothing to do but bomb yourself, so put that Attack into good use. As for Defense EVs. no one is going to be stupid enough to mess around with a massive 140 base, so I'd say put the remaining in Special defense.

Don't waste EVs in Defense, it is completely a goner, even with EVs. It about matches Tyrogue's defenses, so don't

Brock doesn't have a Blissey, does he? D:

Maybe it has something to do with the nurse Joy thing. Anyways, good team.

Thanks for all the help guys/girls. I think this brock team will turn out to be pretty good(if i use it right). Brock had pretty good pokemon, to my surprise since he really only had around 8, not including their evo's. The two not on the team are Swampert and Golem. And yes Brock has a happiny, so I suppose I'm kind of cheating a bit but I always considered evo's the same pokemon(I use venasaur and blastoise on my ash team).

And let Starmie or even Empoleon slaughter half of your team instead? Doesn't sound like a very good plan to me. Last time I checked, Steelix and Forretress were plenty of protection against Tyranitar, both of which seriously hurt it with Earthquake and/or Gyro Ball.

it took me a year but i finally got this team together.. on shoddy. i just don't have the time to breed and train pokemon. this team turned out well, but it works a lot better with swampert, I think, instead of steelix. with steelix this team can go down to any decent trainer with a physical fire sweeper like infernape and arcanine. Swampert doesn't help the infernape problem too much but at least it doesn't share the same weakness as my other physical wall in forretress, which helps a ton. And Swampert can do the same thing that steelix does, with stealth rock and roar.
