Hello everyone, I introduce myself, I'm Zidikadis, and I'm currently making new animations for my Pokémon fan game. 😀
Originally, to save time, I tried to use the animations from the "Gen 8 move animation project", however, the animations were displayed incorrectly, for example:
- The TACKLE move showed the SHADOW BALL animation, the QUICK ATTACK move showed the FIRE PUNCH animation and so on.
Everything was showing wrong except for the "COMMON" animations, after some research I concluded that it could be due to the incompatibility of the Pokémon Essentials versions, currently I use the 20 version.
With this in mind, I decided to make my own animations, there was no other way, I started making my animations in the order that they are in the PBS files and I edited them in a clean Pokémon Essentials v20 without plugins. I first started with MEGAHORN and placed it at number 303 in the animation list, created both Move: and OppMove: and everything was fine. It was the turn to make the ATTACK ORDER animation and I placed it at number 305 in the animation list, I completed the animation, and it was time to test how it looked in-game, unfortunately for some reason the ATTACK ORDER movement showed another animation. 😱
The problem is that all the other animations of the other movements changed for others just like what happened to me when I tried to use the "Gen 8 move animation project", I reiterate that I used a clean Pokémon Essentials v20 to avoid errors, so I decided to investigate a little more, but I have not found an answer.
I used the "Battle Animation Organizer" that comes inside the editor in debug mode and to my surprise when I put ATTACK ORDER in the number where MEGAHORN was it was displayed correctly, but MEGAHORN showed another animation. So I started to experiment with the order of the animations without any success, all the animations in game showed a different movement than it should show.
Finally, to get rid of doubts, I downloaded Pokémon Essentials v20 again, I exported my animations and imported them in this Pokémon essentials, however, the same problem happened to me again, and I did not touch any animation that comes by default and this time I only used the animation of ATTACK ORDER which is not in the editor and I did not use MEGAHORN to avoid conflicts, as I said before, the same problem was repeated.
Any idea what could be happening to me? Is the animation editor bugged?
