    I can't wait for the new Halo 2 to arrive in only 3 weeks!!! I can't imagine the wait it'll be for the people like me who haven't even preordered this facinating game yet. But, before I overload, do you have any comments about the release date changes every time it gets close to the opening date and do you think it will happen again????
     
    It won't change again.
    It's been leaked, they have to release it now.
     
    IMO, Halo is the most overrated game on any next-gen system. I've played it and it just seems like any other FPS to me, so i'm not that excited about Halo2 coming out...
    (knowing my X-box fanboy friends, they'll invite me over to play Halo2 on the weekends though...)

    Yeah. Yeah it is the most overrated game. But it is good. I've heard that it's the best console FPS since Goldeneye.
    In my opinon, Halo 2 is going to be one of those games that it will be the best game ever or the worst game ever. No in between. What's surprising is that over 1.5 million copies of Halo 2 have been preordered. So that means that Halo 2 on it's first week, good or bad, will sell over 1.5 million copies if I understand correctly. Wow.
    Just to clear something up, Halo 2 only had two release dates, "When it's done," and "November the 9th." EBGames was the one that made those phony release dates.
     
    Even Peter Moore, who is in charge of Halo 2 put a tatoo on his arm of the release date for the 9th...

    Not to sound like a Halo fanatic or anything, but to me Halo was the most enjoyable FPS game that I have ever played, and even though it didn't look like much changed for 2, I still want to play it.

    :laugh: That's funny. They changed a whole lot things in Halo 2. Look on any Halo website and you can find all the changes we know of. They're a whole lot more that Bungie won't tell us. Some changes is that there are only shields, no health bar. Dual weiding with guns. Energy Blades are now playable. The Banshee has cool new tricks. And the list goes on and on. Screens don't show it, but there are a lot of changes.
     
    halo 2 will undoubtedly be the best... i just want to get the new weapons and cause massive, mind numbing death and chaos ^^ i had a dream about that, too... i found that grenade launcher with the blade on the end of it, and i was blowing up a covenant ship for no apparent reason, and all of these aliens started charging out of it, but they were no match for the grenades, until a t rex (???) came out of teh ship...i shot it in the moiuth with at least 20 grenades, but i ran out of ammo and had to run away... yeah...
    anyway, why exactly are humans against the covenant in the first place? did they like, bomb us? or are we just mad at them for no reason? i mean, we were the dumb ones in halo...from my understanding, the covenant knew about the flood and was trying to destroy it, but the humans were too stupid to listen, so we just kept killing everything. so, whay were we against them anyway?

    Hmmm...I should have went looked into it more, I was just relying on the screens that I saw. But now that I know the details, I want to play it even more, especially co-operative play.

    Humans are against the Covenant because we are afront to their gods. The Covenant War started about 30 years before Halo. Halo: The Fall of Reach(Before Halo) and Halo: First Strike(after Halo and right before Halo2) explains that. Both are books with about 300 pages. A very good read.     OK. Halo 2 lets you carry 2 weapons and use them simultaneously!! That means at the same time for the illiterate. You can have a Plasma Gun and a Rocket Launcher and fire them off simultaneously, and even in different directions via the analog sticks! Not to mention the vehicles, and multiplayer, which is the real deal in ANY Halo game!

    PLUS, Sgt. Johnson comes back!!!! YES! How can you NOT like this?!

    I've seen them playing this on G4 at E3! The thing is going to blow your mind, I swear!! The first Halo was just a warm-up compared to this one!
     
    Halo was overrated. Halo 2 is too and it's not even out.

    You can only dual-wield the SMG, the new pistol(not as strong as before), Plasma Pistol, Plasma Rifle, and the new needler. Everything else, you can't. They can't fire is different directions too.

    WOW kip kip. That was some commercial there. I mean really with that awesome Covenant Plasma walker thingy lol. And then the Prophets with their human tongue. That is something new compared to what i've seen on Halo Center forums.

    The needler was always one of my favourite weapons, it was so weak but I've always thought that it had potential, this time I hope it actully does.
     
    I hear that the Halo 2 online is going to be da bomb and also that about 1.5 million people have already pre ordered the game to so bungie better be ready for another game of the year I guess.

    Yeah. Over 1.5 million pre-orders were ordered in the US. Said to gross more money than any weekend box office movie. Of course you don't pay $50.00 for a movie. :P
    Go to the Bungie website(bungie.net) and go to Halo 2 and the Video Page, you'll find a movie at the bottom about the multiplayer along with other movies.
