Can’t go up

    I'm new to romhacking and when I decided to go ahead and test the romhack i had tried to go up and it would not let me, i could go any other direction except for up
    I'm using
    Advanced series- for sprite changing
    Gen3tools- for Changing pokemon learnsets, type, and base stats
    And that's about it.
    Could someone tell me what might have went wrong?
    Edit- I'm using Fire Red as my base rom
