2nd Gen Can I play these games on my DS?

I thought if you could play GBA games, you could play GBC games! You can do it with the SP, don't they have the same slot?
 
Nope nope, the slot's different. It could theoretically be possible if you cut out the bars on the side (notice the notches your GBA games have? Notice the notches that your GBC/GB games don't have?), but that's all theory. I have no idea, to be frank. All I know is that is physically doesn't fit.
 
As the others have said -- it won't work. The slot is different and Crystal is getting to be old for a game. (Gameboys, and even original Gameboy Advances are getting harder to find.) You'll have to use an older system to enjoy Crystal. =/
 
I remember I got crystal for my 12th birthday. I feel so old! I really miss that game. I traded my pkmn crystal and all of my gaming systems for that stupid gameboy SP! I still regret it till this day.
 
I traded Red and Blue (Blue with Mewtwo) for a few holo cards. Go me.
 
Yea I remember the good old days of the 2nd generation. It would be great if they make a remake

I'm as upset as you are. I want to play my 2nd gen games on my DS. I hope they make a remake ^.^
