6th Gen Can X and Y be completely self sufficient for a pokemon trainer

    or does one need the other ones and need to try somehow to trade or gts them to onesself? if you want all pokemon available to you and i dont mean having to trade 3 shinies from x or y to get some pokemon from a different version that isnt worth it might as well play that version myself

    if it is self sufficient, x or y?
     
    I fill the dex with GTS only, in a week, so isn't that bad I guess.
     
    You can't trade with yourself without 2 3DS's. So, unfortunetly GTS would be much faster.

    Or Pokebank would be even faster if trading between X and Y.

    And to the original poster, not counting legendaries there's actually only 22 pokemon lines that aren't available in X and Y, and it's VERY easy to get those 22 pokemon lines via the GTS.
