I wish I saved you,
When you turned black.

It eats me away,
It pains me so.
I wish you stayed,
You didn't have to go.

Darkness floods,
It filters through.
Nothing can save us,
Not me or you.

I still wish I saved you,
Though you were black.
I've known for a while,
I'll never go back.

oh, wow! they should use your poem in schools. it would really make the kids see how painful cancer can be. i haven't read a poem that i liked a lot in a long time!!!
