    I have been trying to send a "thank you" message to someone here and every time I go to send it, it doesn't show up in my inbox that I've sent anything. Help me please.

    You need to check the box under Private Messages when you edit you options in your profile that says "Save a copy of sent messages in my Sent Items folder by default".
