Hi, I'm new to ROM hacking, and I'm trying to figure out some basic mapping stuff. I looked around the forum but couldn't find answers to this exact issue, so I'd appreciate any help. :)

    This issue:
Using Advance Map on Pokémon Emerald, I created a new route (without overwriting another map) that connects to the South of Littleroot. When I walk South from Littleroot, I can enter the new map no problem. When I try to walk North back to Littleroot, I hit an invisible wall.

The connections seem to be lined up (4 and -4), the connections seem to point to each other properly both ways (bank 0 map 9, and bank 34 map 0), and the connections viewer in A-Map for both Littleroot and my new route shows the other map in the right orientation. Also, I double-checked that the movement permissions are all 'c' on both exits, and I even tried setting them to '0', to no effect.

    Any ideas? Thanks!
